Six months is the minimum moron. He signed a new deal almost a year before he fought and began testing immediately.

Went to an Amateur MMA fight in Queens a few years back and one (never gonna go pro) fighter brought his wife, mom, dad, brother and whatnot. He ended up winning, but his mom was in hysterics when he was eating some big shots.

I never understood why anyone'd bring their mom or their kids (daughters really) to watch them fight.
Obviously TWood's and JBJ's moms are a different story; but I'd imagine most are too emotional to watch their sons/daughters get into a hard fight against another killer.
