Pretty unremarkable post for dusting off a 2006 account...

I still havent seen a fair argument as to why Jones shouldn't be paid a good amount of money to fight Aspinall ..


1) Jones is the undefeated champion

2)His been fighting for over a decade in the premier league and is likely winding down his career its common for fighters to try and get s larger pay day on the way out.

3) He owes nobody nothing...Jones could of stopped fighting after his LHW run and still be on the GOAT list for decades .. same thing applies for now at HW...

If this fight doesnt happen itll be because of Dana and CO not paying.


UFC should just pay the guy....
 
Jones strikes me as the type of guy who would pass up on $20-30 million just to avoid an ass whooping.

It's nice to see a balanced opinion on the guy instead of just abject nuthugging, or total hate.

I think Jones will be the favorite when the odds come out. I got it 60/40 Jones.

Risky fight for him, he has the experience, skill, and winning mentality.

Fight Alex after that and retire.

Still we had bs with Randy, then Brock cut in line and got sick, then Cain got injured, JDS/Werdum lose next fight after title, Stipe/DC trilogy took 3 years, then Ngannou is injured and only defends once before leaving. Not 1 dominant champ besides Stipe with 3 defenses. It's almost over as soon as it begins.

6k posts in roughly 20 years. Yeah, easy to miss. I haven't seen you before either. I was most active during the UFC vs PRIDE wars. Shit basically 3/4 of my posts, then when UFC won I faded into the brush a la homer simpson.
