There will eventually probably come along a better fighter than Jones. Khabib was undefeated as well, never got hurt, and only lost one round his whole career. So there will be more dominant fighters than Jon.

But no one in modern MMA can ever beat his two record:

1.) Youngest champ.

2.) 15 title fight wins.

Jon came at the perfect time. The UFC was relatively young, divisions were thing and the roster was about 1/4 it’s current size. The days where you get a title shot in your 3rd fight (unless you’re a champ from another big promotion) are gone.

Even undefeated fighters usually need to be 7-0 in the UFC to get a title fight. That 7 wins might take 5 years because if they are great, they deal with horrific ducking (see Umar currently begging for a fight from any BW on the roster and getting nothing lol) and just deal with the regular inactivity that has become normal.

So even if a greater fighter than Jones comes along, there just isn’t the chance to win 15 title fights anymore. There’s not enough time. Most deep divisions can’t even get champs under age 30 now, much less a 23 year old.

TLDR: Jones will always have the GOAT statistics, similarly to old school baseball pitchers with like 500 career wins, because he came along at the perfect time in the sport.

I mostly agree, but I could possibly see a young heavyweight surpass Jon at some point in the future due to how weak of a division it is. Still though, youngest champion and the number of successful title fights will be very hard records to beat.

His record will hold for a long time, since there are no current champions close to his streak. That being said, records are meant to be broken, and just like Kareem Abdul Jabbar's points record stood for decades, it was recently broken by a man who was a phenom who lived up to the hype, Jones is Kareem or lebron of the titles record now however you want to look at it, but someday maybe in a few decades there will be the next generation Lebron; and the cycle will continue.

He was 0-0 at Heavyweight going into a title fight, after years of inactivity, and repeated PED findings, and after being gifted a decision versus Reyes, and nearly losing to Santos, whom had two destroyed knees.

But na, the UFC is super professional with who gets title shots.

Jones got the title shot in his 8th UFC fight...

To be fair we all said most HW's are just a bunch of fat sloppy lazy LHW's that don't train...

Jones just beat a guy with less fighting experience than Grasso lol.

Jon has been in the UFC since like 2008, and champion since 2011. It took him 8 fights to get a title shot, and he had to step in on short notice to even get it.

Wtf are you talking about bro?

Pereira just got a title shot and was 3-0 in the UFC and had been with the company for just a year
