A little throwback to when Badr Hari went to the USA to prepare for his transition to professional boxing (a transition that ultimately didn’t materialize as he stayed with kickboxing).

During his stay in America, the Moroccan was hanging out with UFC’s finest: Jon “Bones” Jones

Jones and Hari ended up going out together, you can tell they had a great night:)

Later on, Jon Jones got invited to attend one of Badr Hari’s fights in Russia, which delivered this epic pic with the likes of Melvin Manhoef and Big Mike Passenier

Legendary shit:cool:

Badr Hari was supposed to fight James McSweeney last month in Paris, I attended the event with my dad.
Unfortunately the main-event got cancelled last minute because of the devastating earthquake in Morocco that happened earlier that day.
A big big bummer for us and all the other fans, but I understand and respect Hari’s choice to not fight:

Although we travelled all the way from Holland to watch Badr Hari fight in the first place, me and my old man still had a good time together in Paris:cool:

Well, as a result of what happened in Paris, Badr Hari will now fight at GLORY 89 in Bulgaria later today, against the hart-hitting Estonian Uku Jürjendal, so I’m very much looking forward to that fight tonight!

In case you’re interested to watch the fight, Badr Hari is expected to make the walk to the ring around 3pm ET / 12pm PT / 21:00 CEST.

Uberdad was 8 feet tall in his glory days.

I am kind of excited to see Uku again. He got better every time he returned to the Glory ring, and he showed he’s not afraid of big boys either
Badr will definitely not get his Grand Prix ticket for free.

I can imagine Jon and Badr being absolute best bros. Committing all kinds of crime together. Until one day one of them gets insecure over who's more alpha and they fight to the death

RIP Badr. RIP bestbroship

A street fight isn't quite the same as a MMA fight. Yes, Jones has more tools with his level of grappling experience, but I feel that an elite kickboxer would have the best shot at defending himself successfully.

Personally I would still favor Jones, because it's Jones and not just a MMA fighter. But generally speaking I don't think that a MMA fighter necessarily comes out on top in every street scrap.

Tbh, Uku looked bad in his last fight, especially in round two (even his opponent mocked him for it). A few years ago this would be a freebie for Hari. But now that he is over the hill, anything can happen. He should be careful not to get caught in round one. Looking forward to it either way.

Honestly surprised they didn't clash heads considering their personalities

Wasn't Badr Hari a little borderline too friendly with other dudes

They went out together and got cocaine and hookers.

Badr Hari “should” outclass Uku tonight as he’s the far superior fighter, but it’s heavyweight kickboxing and the Estonian packs a big punch so who knows what happens (probably a lot, lol).
Jürjendal put one of @samuelsoncast favorite fighters to sleep here:

The one who is less capable of using every part of his body as a weapon would be more capable of defending himself? Piss poor logic there.

You're blessed beyond measure for having a Dad like you have.

Mine died when I was 7 in a car accident.

And the mother of my children disappeared with my children a week ago.

The world needs dads like you have.

I meant from all non-MMA fighters the elite kickboxer would have the best shot.

Go piss into a cup and drink it.

People think a street fight is an actual fight in an actual street. While those do happen all the time, most happen in nightclubs, pubs, concert halls and such, where it is crowded and weapons are usually just fists. That’s why many claim that boxers are the most dangerous in such fights. Badr Hari is a nightclub fight specialist.
