Now look at all these basements dwellers talking about their little guns and shit.

Anything less than a 9mm is a nail pusher. Really, a .22?

I wonder if the gun is registered to Jones.

The reason being that the report stated that Jon was talking to another person who was standing at his passenger window when the cops pulled up on them.

I know Jones isn't the most rational person but shooting a gun into the air from your car seems like its something that would either cause a stranger on the street to flee from or keep people from approaching your car. So I would guess that Jones fired that gun in the air while the person was standing there. Did they sell Jones a gun or do some kind of exchange? Then Jones fired it in the air to see if it worked?

lol @ all the dummies saying a 22 is lame or a "bb gun"

I wonder how quickly their tone would change if one was pointed at their kneecap. not that I would encourage such a thing

Buncha newbs/haters in here, a suppressed G44 .22 with subsonic ammo is the second most useful firearm setup in a city.

I'm not surprised that most of Sherdog is as ignorant about firearms as they are about MMA.

Is it illegal to have it?

I don't know about New Mexico, but a lot of States allow you to obtain a CCP. Heck, some states like Wyoming, you don't even need a CCP to carry a gun concealed, in your car or on your person in plain sight.

If someone gets pulled over and cops do a search and find a gun, they will probably run the serial number to make sure it isn't stolen. If it isn't he should be ok, but being drunk and the negligent use of a firearm charge could be fairly serious...but again, I don't know New Mexico law.

Dude, if he was in New Mexico, there are a lot of isolated places, shooting a 22 isnt very loud, so for plinking or whatever a 22 is fine, he probably drives out to the country and shoots bottles or small animals. The noise difference between a 9mm and a 22 are very different. 9mm is much louder. Also what is jones doing?

Holding a gun in your hand, which is probably loaded with someone elses ammo and firing it, doesn't sound like a good way to test a gun? I would've thought you should break down and inspect a gun before you test fire it.........

But why get obsessed with different guns, ammo, what they do etc. You are not a soldier on a battlefield. You are %99 likely to never use that gun in real life. All you need is a simple pistol to stop someone,no need to get in crazy discussions lol.

Well, I can't speak for anyone but myself. But one's enough for me. That's not to say that that I'll never update to a newer or different model someday down the line but I personally have no interest in accumulating a lot of guns. My wife, on the other hand, has three .38s. But, then, she was raised by a gun collector so in her case having just three isn't so bad.
As for why some other gun owners & enthusiasts always seem to want more I can't say. Maybe you can ask one of the others in this thread.

is that because of low recoil enabling faster more accurate shots and low sound so they can’t hear you coming?

I’m a noob seriously asking

Damn look at third pic (with the other guy) and next the previous ones.
His hairline is receding badly
Thats how we know he is guilty

It seems like a drug deal gone bust tbh

somethin happened, jones got spooked and tried to scare them off

That Glock was made for target shooting, not home defense. It's a hobbyist gun.

They may not pack a punch, but just pulling it out can deter potential assailants. The theory is that Jon pulled over to roll a blunt and the homeless men approached him to beg for money. That's when he brandished the pistol and shot it into the air, scaring them off.
That is total bullshit. Glock trigger isnt super smooth and fancy (not before mods and upgradee) , the gun has good reliability. There is nothing about a Glock that implies it is a target shooting gun that is not suitable for self defense. Glock is used by plenty of police forces.
