Media Jon Jones giving massive Tito Ortiz vibes

I dislike Jones and he is fake as hell but I can’t hate on him for this for some reason

Aspinall has been annoying and whiney begging for the fight constantly. He should have let the UFC handle stuff

them switching to the old gloves just so he can eyepoke is hilarrrrious. what a joke

except when you're annoyed by something you don't ignore it. you address it and if need be, with violence. now all of a sudden making a fight is "doing business" for Jon. this ain't WWE, you're not "doing business" you're fighting for money. doing business implies someone will be doing someone else a favor, there is nothing like that in prize fighting. there is no favors to be done. you either fight the next best guy to keep your status or you admit you're an old lion and you need to step down. Jon is not doing Tom a favor by fighting him, it's Tom's literal right to challenge WHOEVER the title holder is. this is how sports work, this is how meritocracy works, this is how prize fighting works.

they're changing the gloves just because Jon Jones doesn't like it. people should really think about Jon's career. his entire career the UFC has been spoon feeding him and holding his hand the entire time. sure, he's undefeated but that didn't come without a whole lot of help from the UFC.

Even if what Jones says makes sense, it doesn't matter.

When there's a champion and an interim champion, they fight. Period. It doesn't matter if they don't want to "do business together," or they acted like an "a**hole," or they don't have the "accolades," etc. When the title is disputed, you unify it. Period. None of that other talk even factors in.

If you retire or leave the division this doesn't apply.

Jon Jones admitted that he snitched on his classmates for marijuana, then drove drunk with strippers in the car while his family
was at home, then he eye poked an opponent, then he hit 'n ran a pregnant woman, then he went home and beat his woman in
front of their daughters, then he called the arresting officers racists and headbutted their car, then he cheated at MMA by using
steroids (only a picogram), then he did cocaine, then he cheated at MMA again by using estrogen blockers, then drove drunk
again while firing a gun in the air in public, then he eye poked another opponent, then he threatened to kill a drug testing lady
...but Tom Aspinall is the asshole?

Jon already flat out said that where he's at in his career, his age, it makes more sense for him to fight Stipe.

He all but admitted that he's not confident he would win against Tom.

If people wanna be pissed, be pissed at the UFC. Jones can say whatever he wants and can refuse to fight Aspinall. That's his right. And it's then on the UFC to decide "Do we want our HW title to actually represent the best HW, or do we want it to be a trinket we use as a temporary asset to slightly increase the drawing power of Jones before he retires."

As a die hard fan of course I prefer the former. Aspinall 100% looks like the best HW on planet earth right now and I'd like to see him get to prove it vs the other top guys. But Ngannou left and we'll see about Jones.

Imagine if Shogun took this stance lol

Jones is just the biggest pile of dog shit in MMA

He's a coward, a cheater, a size bully, a duck, a spousal abuser, a drug addict and a hypocrite

Oh my sweet summer child. You just haven't been exposed to Tito's verbal diarrhea enough. Jones is sociopath in my opinion and there may be some low grade CTE at this point, but if the discussion is about idiot word salad then Tito is the GOAT and it's not close. We are talking about a man who actually said he wanted to outlive his own kids.

On the other hand Jones is actively trying to outlive his wife, different style.

Aspinall was way too polite and almost fanboying Jones at first, then he realized it wasn't getting him the fight. His tone changed to goad Jones into a fight I think.
I’ve said this before . Telling him “ I think I’m better than you” did nothing. Jones wouldn’t have bat an eyelid. Tom is too much a gentleman.

Youve got to goad the psychopath in him and rattle his cage. Something to the effect of “ Jones McDuck” and getting the audience to laugh at him. When he bumped into him he should have done something ala Shannon Briggs. I know it’s not his style but I reckon it’s the only way it’ll work.

Either that or Jones is delaying this on purpose to have Tom fight emotionally if it ever does happen.

It just feels like Jones wants to walk out the door unless UFC throws him easy stylistic matchups. It's a shame because Jones/Aspinall is a good fight since we lost the Ngannou one.

Since when do you have to like the guy to fight him?

Quack quack Jon...
