Jones has been in the UFC for 16 years. His championships, his legacy, his bank account—they're all established already.

Alex Pereira, on the other hand, is a newcomer, making a run for it with the limited time he has left in his career to accrue as many of those achievements as he can.

You can't compare the two.

Jon Jones could've had ridiculous money at this point but pissed it all away for cocaine, steroids and almost killing a pregnant woman.

Lost Gatorade, Nike as sponsors...fuckin guy could've been the biggest thing that ever hit MMA and basically fell on his face like the piece shit addict he is.

I'm in the camp of not being completely sure exactly how his career would've panned out if he didn't keep having all these interruptions.

The longevity he's had could very well be BECAUSE he had all those forced interruptions.

Very few fighters can go through 2-3 championship fight camps every single year for that many years straight while fighting nothing but title contenders and not get wrecked mentally and or physically which usually shortens fighters prime years by quite a lot and then it's all downhill from there.
