Absolutely, and great point. All the current GOAT contenders have multiple losses, so a loss to DC doesn't rule Jones out of the discussion.

To put this into perspective, if Vitor Belfort beats Chris Weidman and goes on to dominate the MW division for a few years, do you really think people are going to be bringing up the fact that he lost to Tito Ortiz 15 years ago as a reason for why he's not a great fighter? No. People don't even bring that up now.

This isn't a very good point, and also, Vitor lost to just about every great fighter he's ever faced up until a few years ago when he went on TRT. After his first fight with Hendo, he was 14-8, with his best wins being Tank Abbot and a pre-Pride smaller version of Wand.
