Jones has a far better resume, but Khabib has been far more dominant. I don't see any LW giving Khabib any trouble. Khabib never had the luxury on relying on size / reach as well. Overall Jones has still had the far better career and it's not really a debate.

One thing I've noticed especially recently is Khabib's been fortunate of no real high level wrestlers at the top of LW. His most recent win against someone with good grappling was RDA. Dustin, conor, short notice Al, Barboza, MJ. All good fighters but none of them really known for high level grappling. It makes me wonder how his grappling would do if LW looked like WW. We had Al stuffing takedowns repeatedly in the last rounds.

Jones has been champ for like a decade, of course he’s gonna have a better resume. As far as GOAT status goes, it will always be debatable with Jones involved. If he never popped for anything, then his legacy would be much more solidified.
