What will the UFC do?

I watched the arrest video and it broke my heart. I was surprised I could feel bad for the guy.

I appreciate that he was so respectful to the cops.

Oh, crap, I misread the poll to say, "What should the UFC do?"

What will they do? Slap on the wrist. Dana will make a big temporary show of caring, and then Jones will be fighting within a year anyway.

UNless you mean firing the gun, there is no innocent until proven guilty here. Much like failing the USADA drug tests, failing a breathilizer is automatic guilty. Unless somehow he can make a case for the machine being broken or something, there is no presumption of innocence. he has already failed the test. Now it's a matter of punishment. You can't fail the test and be innocent. You either are, or are not over the legal limit.

Well what would you recommend? He's not getting a few years in Prison coming off basically just being drunk sitting in his car. Even with priors. He has yet to face any real Jail time. I think with Summer coming up, and nothing scheduled he needs to spend a few months in Jail. Like 3 months. That is a lot more than any previous punishment, and hopefuly he comes out hungry for his next fight..

He wasn't just drunk and sitting in his car. He drove drunk through downtown Albuquerque with no proof of insurance and an open bottle of tequila after recklessly firing a gun, then fired it again with people around and was planning to keep driving. Who knows what else a drunk man with a handgun and more alcohol in his car in the middle of a downtown city area would have gone on to do, had he not been caught when he was.

3 months would be great, relative to what he's faced so far. He has been getting shorter probation periods than other criminals and as a result, he's facing a judge in a much better position than he should be though. If he was a normal person, he already would've had to do at least a little bit of time and he would still have been on probation going into this situation. It's difficult to recommend something here because his crimes have not been handled correctly at all so far. You can't really go from a bunch of slaps on the wrist to giving someone a year for something like this, when they're not even on probation like they should be. The fact that he has a gun at all after assaulting a waitress is beyond ridiculous. No regular person would have still been allowed to own a firearm after that sort of violent crime.

I would say that some combination of incarceration, heavy fines, mandatory substance abuse/self-help meetings, a long license suspension and a much longer probation period are in order, in addition to removing his right to own a firearm. That is all more than justified at this point.

I am fine with most of this.. Jones if you follow his social media loves his guns, so if you took those away that would really hit him hard. Not sure if they could do that forever though? Probably just a certain period of time. His license should be gone for a few years. I don't know how he kept getting that back so quickly with past DUI's plus the hit and run? And 3 months in jail like I said I am on board with that.. Some time away would be good for him. Deal with an actual consequence. Point also should be made to him, that a major probation violation going forward, will result in a few years in Prison..

Finally, things are getting back to normal.

They'll give him a slap on the wrist. To do nothing would be such bad optics.

Lol he fired a gun. They followed the noise and found him drunk. They asked him questions and he got himself in deeper and deeper with his retarded answers. Then he got arrested. DWI, discharged weapon and a shell that matches the caliber.
Someone else could have made the sound to screw Jones over

"However, Thiessen’s toxicology expert, Gary Wimbish, told jurors the blood alcohol result used against Isaacks only shows her blood-alcohol concentration at the time it was drawn and not what it was when she was driving. He believed Isaacks’ blood alcohol level at the time of driving was at .05 percent, which is below the state’s legal threshold of .08 percent."

JBJ failed at the time. There is a difference. This lady had her levels tested hours after the crash, and had very shoddy police work.

Had a gun and couldn’t even be bothered to have proof of insurance lol

Also Jones is 6’6
I knew he was bigger than 6’4 with that ridiculous reach. 6’6 sounds legit.

a true goat defense attorney

did you read the part where she had basically an entire liquor cabinet in the back of her car?

My point is a jury gets to hear a lot of stuff and even though jones blew over there are many elements to this crime where the test doesn’t make it a slam dunk case like you implied...

I suppose this is somewhat of news but will be forgotten soon and the ufc won't do anything, don't worry

This isn't going to a jury lmao
