Amy Schumer will make a great joker. I be hilarious if Joker is actually a transgender who has amnesia, and doesnt remember his Amy Schumer-esque female past self
 
MCU wanted Joaquin for Doctor Strange- he passed and said he doesn’t want to do comic movies/blockbusters. Surprised if they actually get him to sign the dotted line for this.

But if they do, he’s a great actor and likely would pull it off well. I think of him in The Master and that really showed me what a chameleon that dude can be.

That said- this is stupid. Unless they plan to drop Leto, this is real stupid.
 
Phoenix is a damn good actor (and probably legit loony enough), but I don't get this. I mean, I can understand it being floated as an idea, but not getting as far as this. Joker needs Batman, and do we really need another new Batman?

We know that, but how does it look to the masses? It's bad enough having two Barry Allens on the go, but at least one's in the films and one's on TV, but having two concurrent versions on the big screen?

Oh, Jared Leto's not Joker any more. Hang on, he is? Erm...

Torn about this movie.

Joker is such an intriguing character so you want to see his origin, but part of that intrigue is his mysterious origin.

He can’t be any worse than Leto, right? With Scorsese being an executive producer on the film, I think it will definitely help the movies chances in doing well. Joaquin was excellent in the movie You Were Never Really Here and I can see his crazy side as the joker being on par with Ledgers. Also, Affleck won’t be Batman so that’s another positive going for this movie.

Who would you like to see play Batman?

Please God no Gyllenhaal.

He's a good actor but not for this role.
 
Joaquin Phoenix could play MLK and still somehow make it work.

I agree that Gyllenhaal is good but he doesn't have that look.

Ben wasn't the problem with those movies.

I think they should cast an unknown.

Ben was a problem with those movies, he just wasnt the biggest problem.

Hes by far the worst Batman after Clooney imo
