Oh I know I could easily provide receipts going back to the 'Hollywood so white' articles from the mid-2010s and overanalyzing dozens of major studio released with white male characters who are either villains, fools, or betas... but all that to debate you? You're not that important.

Go woke, lose money is accurate. The people behind this are nowhere near 'going broke'. They're happy to spend lots of money to mould culture, and society to their liking. In fact the real big boys can just create as much money as they want out of nothing anyway.

This is very accurate. Most people are missing the big picture. They are literally molding a generation of people way of thinking. The money they throw in now is just investment. They are not going broke. See how many "woke" indie films they are, basically none. Because they cannot afford to push agenda and have to make good movies for profit.

It's like Amazon/Ride Hailing apps. They pour tons of money in the first decade, people believe they are getting good deals with "discounts". Then once they kill all competitions, they start jacking up prices to insane level and "loyal" customers that get hooked on their branding starts paying back what they benefited from discount plus more.

Woke/Agenda films are similar but even scarier because they might not be out for money in the long run.

They're relevant because it telegraphed the social trends at the time to impliment DEI into casting decisions for Movies, TV shows, & games... and when they've did so the industry became significantly less profitable.

That's just one of the numerous problems that the entertainment industry self-inflicted.

There are a ton of progressive indie politics movies from people from ll over the world that are inside looking, reductive and preach to the social democrat choir. A lot of them have some government backing. While there was a Sundance Channel like 20% of those movies were about some gay awakenning.

You could and can break even with a low budget preachy arthouse movie because the expectations are lover.
