The ironic thing is the Incel movement could potentially have latched onto Joker 2 since I would argue it actually paints a very negative picture of Harley. Rather than being some abused victim of the Joker she's highly manipulative and basically in love with a fantasy of a violent criminal she tries to sustain, she might not kill anyone but you could argue the bombing at the end may not have happened without her.

The problem I spose is that her fantasy is actually quite close to the fantasys of a lot of the incel/alpha movement of themselves as "dominant" narcissists.

I never thought twice about it. I did not view her as manipulative at all. But falling out of love with someone who doesn't believe in killing is very contrived. It didn't resonate with me. Didnt make sense.

I never try to understand women like this and why they do what they do. I know her husband was always cheating on her so maybe that was it. We do have a long history though. I've known her since we were teenagers not even driving yet. She was never so bad then but 10+ years is a long time and people change.
