GSP was supposed to be on his way to the hospital but surprised Dana by showing up to the presser after he heard that Dana was talking shit.

I think it is trending through the bandwagon right now. If something had happened, these quotes wouldn't all be many years old.

Fans and fighters alike just can't stop obsessing on GSP resentment. Sonnen talked about that on his podcast, how fighters are still always talking about GSP (obviously angry fans also).

I mean, he is one of my top 3 favorites, but even I don't see a reason to obsess and go on and on with discussions about his old fights.

truth. have always found it hilarious how people go after gsp in particular with such a vengeance, a guy who tried so hard to do things the right way, be classy, be respectful etc. the world is just chock full of haters. just angry, bitter little people, who can't stand to see anyone else succeed, especially someone who makes them look so bad by comparison.
 
Am I the only one appreciating the new meme of Hendricks threads? It's the new prospect Erick Silva, or bumping the thread of that hot chick from 5 years ago.
 
I think a potential fight with Lawler was a bigger concern than Hendrix at the time , not that Hendrix wasn’t a threat

That's completely untrue. He retired like a month before NSAC enhanced testing was permanently implemented. The same testing he thwarted and didn't participate in before the Hendricks fight. You know, the testing his team was acting all sketchy about and trying to get a bunch of info on?

The entire quest and reasoning behind Team Takedown and the investment of fighter Johny Hendricks was to create a UFC champion.

He wasn’t trying to be a goat or break all the defense records. Just get to the top, which be did.

Exactly. GSP is a really hard person to hate if you like good, decent, humble people; a person's motivation for hating him comes from their own jealousy and internal negativity.

It was actually the second Lawler decision which ruined Hendricks not the GSP fight.
