Johnny Walker will pay a Price for putting Hands on the Ref

I think people are making a bigger deal about this than it really is.

This wasn't a malicious interaction to cause harm to the ref. There have been many instances of fighters disagreeing with a ref's decision, and shoving their shoulder or grabbing their arm.

As for how much the UFC cares - Phil Baroni punched Lari Landless, and while initially suspended, he was welcomed back with open arms to the organization.

He saw Three Ankalaevs and thought the ref was the one in the middle. I dont see the big deal here.

Despite who’s at fault for the in fight foul and stoppage of the fight you could tell shit got serious when he shoved the ref. That’s a big no no. Even daddy Dana stepped in.

Thing I didn't like is the doctor talked to walker quickly... then he turned to the ref and talked to him. And that was it. The fight was over. The doc never even turned back to walker to double check and make sure he really couldn't continue.

The shove he gave the ref.... eh... it wasn't that bad. Wasn't great either but it was a controlled push and the ref never really looked that concerned.

Johny was concussed even before the fight started.

If this happened in the states he’d quite possibly be looking at a suspension and fine from the commission overseeing it. But where it was uae where they oversee themselves for the most part to my knowledge, combined with it sounding like Dana was wanting to get it “sorted out”(probably rebooked). I’m doubting much will come out of it where it was mostly a harmless push and nobody was hurt. Just expecting to see them run it back in a month or two

Regardless of how you are feeling, you do not shove the ref.

Dana will make an example of him
If the incident occurred in the states he likely would receive some sort of sanction. But I doubt that Dana himself was offended and will seek to punish Walker.

Fine him and move on
You don’t put hands on the refs

Fine the doctor too
And that damn broken round horn blower, lol

that ref isn't even part of any athletic comission, he's just there on behalf of the ufc. there will be no consequences for lightly shoving a ref

I never condone behavior like this

But in this case, I feel that it was justified

What the hell were they doing to Walker?

Shavkat is him Let him cook ffs

Why is Yan - Sterling so different?

They didn't even give Walker 5 mins

PS

Anything goes in "The Desert"
