Movies JOHN WICK Official Thread (Dragonlord's Review)

News of John Wick 2 has made my day. John Wick is my favourite movie.

I'm just posting here because I've only seen the first one last night - it was horribly bad, and I do mean HORRIBLY bad, as in only a true master of cinema could have created something so crappy and flimsy.

I was very underwhelmed by Johm Wick, tbh.

definitely one of mine too.

i gave it a 8, very fun film. thought they could have made killing the kid he was after the whole time a little more dramatic since that was one of the main premises instead of him going down like just about every other guy in the film.

I kind of appreciated that. Not much really needed to be said (except for maybe asking where his car was).

I love how he wacked Alfie Allen like he did. much different then other action movies

Watched the movie again and 2 things that could of made the movie better for me

1- The end fight could have been better (perhaps a final Russian or Asian henchman that he struggles with)

2- While at the pound he should have got a similar dog to what he lost.
Would have made the scene more touching if they added a flashback to the mutt

And one question
Also did the puppy drag itself to die next him when he got beated up? OMG that is so sweet :icon_cry2

wtf? nah man, his choice of dog was fkn PERFECT. the first dog was chosen by his wife. representative of her love and all that cute shit. when John Wick gets to choose, he's going with the beastly motherfucker who eats other motherfuckers for breakfast and is sure as fuck never gonna get owned by no pasty ass bitchboy.

If they make a Shoot 'Em Up sequel announcement next I may literally have a heart attack.

I finally just watched this the other day.

Fucking crazy movie, loved it. Never seen any gun play like that in a movie before, it was awesome. Hopefully the sequel is just as good or better.

I finally got around to watching the movie tonight.

My first reaction was that the gunplay was amazing and reminded me of a vintage John Woo flick with stylized action sequences/ insane gunplay.

well done. looking forward to the sequel.

Watched it today finally.

This is by far the most fun I've had watching a movie in a while. Great fight scenes, lots of killing and they didn't try and add anything unnecessary. It was what it was, an action movie.

9/10 from me. Hopefully Keanu keeps it up. I had high expectations and a movie finally lived up to them for once.

Actually got broken up at the beginning. I'm a dog guy.

Yeah, man, the gunplay, those scenes were just too damn good. I've never seen anything like it before. During all the action scenes where Keanu is going around just fucking everybody up with a pistol, I had a big ass smile on my face, lol.

I can't wait for the next one. It'd be pretty cool if they make it about what went down in his life/work before his wife died/before he even met her since he apparently had a pretty crazy history. All I know is, I'm really looking forward to it.

I had a big smile on my face during the gunplay scenes too. I kept looking over at my hubby like "do you see how fucking amazing this is?" I think he worried that I am a psychopath.

Probably my favorite movie of 2014. Bought the blu-ray yesterday and watched the bonus material. Pretty cool. Pumped if Keanu returns for the sequel.

The gun play reminded me a bit of the gun kata's from equilibrium.
