All that said...
Main thing that bugs me..the fight is less than 3 months away. There aren't a whole lot of great star power matchups available for UFC 200.
So even though it was a little disappointing for a "big event card" I don't really see anything that's as much of a draw happening in the short time left.

Unless they announced Robbie's fighting GSP, UFC 200 will be a pretty disappointing card for what they're trying to talk it up to be.

What I don't get is..... You, as an MMA fan, just admitted you think its a stupid fight but then go on to say how it sucks cause of no big draw, etc etc. Why as MMA fans are we so interested in the opinions of casual fans? Why are we so worried about the actual sales? Its not like any of the money goes into our pockets. I just don't see why so many people defend shitty fights just because "the casual fan" might want it. If I go to a Metallica concert, i don't want them to play Justin Bieberr songs just because the "casual" music fan likes Bieber more.

Not singling you out, just that its something I've noticed of late. That we need to put all fights together based on how well they sell to a casual crowd that doesn't really care that much about the sport as a whole. The ironic thing is that Pride used to do this all the time, and UFC fans to this day still constantly bash them for it.
