John Kavanagh talks Ido Portal

Let the nerds have their fun. Hating on dolce, portal, and white. Thats the cool thing they need to do to be a part of their virtual gang.

:D

This may be valid, but it does not make this any less gay.

are you referring to homosexual or happy, cause in truth i see neither.

I'm not so sure he quit. I mean he got rocked , hence why he went for a horrid takedown, and was gassed on top of that. I'm sure his body wasn't really responding well at that point. Hard to fight off a blackbelt like Diaz at that point. And yes, I find it a bit distasteful to question someone's heart from the friendly confines of your home or what not.

Well, he did tap quick - which I think if he didn't, he would have been choked out. But this whole "going out on your shield" refusing to tap is nonsense, imo. Ironically enough, people tend to forget the towel was thrown in when Diaz got clobbered by Thomson - which I think was the right thing to do - what's the point in taking extra shots when it's apparent he wasn't going to recover.

It's only because of who it is people will micro-analyse everything about the loss. Just after Serra was beating GSP and pulled off by the ref, he started tapping. Same with Shogun against Jones. And something that people don't mention either is Valesquez shooting in on one of the best BJJ black belts in MMA and leaving his neck exposed - though you could probably speculate that he was getting beat up on the fight and made a rash decision to shoot for the takedown and leave his neck hanging out there. Even MacDonald talked about the (no doubt scary) voice in his head at the press conference talking about how it told him to fall/give up against Lawler.

I suppose back in the day when fighter's sparred hard trying to take each others head off they could experience that feeling of being rocked and recovering. But since head trauma has become an issue, it's probably not smart to try and simulate that in training or the fighter won't make the fight.

But it's funny reading when you see people who are more interested in the fighter outside the cage than the actual fighting saying he 'should have done this or done that'

yeah Conor lost because he didn't have an optimal camp.
nate on the other hand had... oh wait

Yeah, 'cos no fighter in the history of MMA has come in on a similar time frame and won a fight.

Good on Diaz for getting the win. But rest assured if Conor had won, it'd be like the Mendes fight part II.

I always thought people giving their neck that way meant they are giving up,they don't want to fight no more. Rampage quit against Jones,he gave his neck. Rumble quit vs Cormier,he gave up and gifted his neck.Ellenberger quit against Lawler,he started looking at the referee and turtled when Robbie attacked.

What are some examples of fighters lacking heart,in your opinion?
It ain't that simple. It's not impossible that he wanted out, but you have no way of knowing that. People expect flawless tactics and strikes in fights, and that rarely happens throughout an entire fight. Why did Weidman throw such a silly wheel kick against Rockhold of all people? Why did Cain swandive into a guillotine choke? Why didnt Jose start with leg kicks agaisnt Conor? Is it because they wanted out? No, they just fucked up. Ive gotten tagged for making stupid mistakes when under pressure in sparring and in fights plenty of times. It happens. After a grueling 3 month camp, the last thing id question of a fighter is their heart.
