Fight Club, Zodiac, The Social Network, Gone Girl. Se7en, The Game

I really like seven, the social network, and gone girl. But Benjamin button was so terrible that I have to go with Carpenter

Carpenter and it wouldn't be close if he had the budgets fincher had. And I am a fan of both

I'll take the guy who got no support from the studios and whose resume is loaded with multiple unique signature classics

Fincher via depth. Both have 2 S tier movies each (Halloween, The Thing, Seven and Fight Club) but Fincher takes over in in the A and B movie category.

He has gotten a lot more money though.

Think you meant Precinct 13 bro.
The Fog, The thing, Prince of Darkness, have to vote Carpenter.

I think the answer is pretty obvious. Fincher has much more technical expertise, whereas Carpenter makes the movies you can watch again and again. Its not that Fincher movies arent rewarchable, just that they tend to be more of an investment to sit down and watch, where Carpenter has a certain Midas Touch of making genre movies you can put on your "Anytime, anywhere, anyplace" list.

For example, I wouldn't say Big Trouble in Little China is "better" than any movie of Finchers, but I can guarantee Ill have warched it about 50 tines more than any of Finchers movies by the time Im on my deathbed....watching it again.

If those are the options, I like Fincher's options better. I feel like you are missing some good Carpenter movies that would sway my vote. Shit poll TS.

Fincher
The Thing and They Live are iconic and beat every movie in Fincher's body of work, even Fight Club
they live is a cult b movie. The Thing I’ll give you, but its on the same level as Se7en.
