Perhaps the fact that so many sherdoggers think chilig was justified is partially caused by the same reason why there are so many people assaulting others in bars etc.their idea of what is legally right and wrong seems informed more by Hollywood than by any proper study into the matter.the bottom line that many cannot seem to get to is that what Shilling did does NOT qualify as self-defense. Those who think it does don't understand that legal definition; it's really not hard. Minimum needed to avoid bodily injury. Pro fighter punching shit out of drunk manlet doesn't qualify. It's called retaliation, and whether or not you think the guy deserved it is irrelevant. I don't know why some have such a hard time wrapping their head around that.
