Joe Schilling sucker punching drunk guy

Yeah and then schilling has the video. Definitely seems like his friends are recording, which makes it an even bigger dick move that it was premeditated, that is definitely assault.
Joe better hope this doesn't end up in court, if it turns out this was premeditated he could do serious time

Shilling is going to pay dearly for this. Video is very unconvincing that it was self-defense and Schilling kind of moved the guy out of the way aggressively. Not going to go well for him on court.

I don’t think he aggressively moves him over as a lot of people are saying but the rest of the footage speaks for itself. If manlet acted a little tough so what, doesn’t justify that and if you think it did then prepare to spend time inside or get hurt. You can’t go around dropping anyone who doesn’t bow to you as an alpha male. This isn’t sherdog.

Stop being over dramatic
The drunk guy clearly made a move of aggression towards Schilling and quickly found out that he fucked with the wrong bull
Nothing about that is a sucker punch, its just a sucker getting punched
Schilling pushed the guy who is clearly drunk just to give him the excuse to knock out a guy who has no chance against him. I like Schilling but he was just in the mood to hurt someone there and that wasn't cool at all to me. I don't know what happened before this but Schilling could got out of there without throwing hands easy.

If lunging at someone is considered not a threat even though in that split second you wouldn’t know the difference between a lunge or an attack then do the exact same move to a cop after talking shit to them. Make sure you record it. If your theory” is right, the cop will just laugh and walk away. If you’re wrong… RIP. Make sure you film it.

Here’s the problem, if you guys are going to exaggerate that into some lunge at Joe, then someone could just do that to Joe’s behavior.

a guy is dancing at club between tables and Joe comes up behind him and instead of tapping him on the shoulder and asking to pass by he just puts his hands on him and pushes him! You can’t sneak up on people and put your hands on them and shive shove them out of the way, that’s threatening, you could be attacking them from behind in a split second, and then when the guy calls out “hey” to protest Joe putting his hands in him, Joe spins around in his face again and could be attacking him in a split second after already putting his hands on him!

Joe had about a dozen options to remove himself from that situation without giving him someone some slight brain damage, but he didn’t take him and it’s clearly an ego thing. If you can’t handle being around tipsy folks don’t go to a fucking dive blasting “in da club”

Exactly this.

If this is "self defense" I'd have to ko people every day.

This. He better hope that guy doesn't press charges. The video if anything makes the whole thing seem premeditated. He definitely moved the guy aside aggressively prompting a predictable response the leveled a guy much smaller than himself who had his hands down and at most was maybe stepping in his direction. This video just makes him look like a meathead bully picking a fight with a guy he knew he could destroy. Just a really, really bad look.

It seems as if it was a planned video, like they saw this guy was drunk , schilling knew he'd react if he kinda shoved him off from behind. Seems kinda messed up

Would really like to know who recorded this. That was my thought that it was set up so Joe could get some footage of him punching someone. I knew some guys that would go to bars and look to start fights with some unsuspecting drunk just cause they were assholes.

Based on the footage so far you don't know how a judge will rule on this if it did go to court because it's not crystal clear on how he/she would perceive how much imminent bodily harm a much larger professional fighter thought he was actually in based on the footage. We see Joe's right foot step toward the guy and then the guy flinches with his hands down and Joe immediately launches a 4 punch combo(2 shots cleanly hit and the other 2 punches are difficult to tell based on the footage).

Not all judges rule the same way and if you put this case in front of 50 judges they all don't rule the same which is why it's risky behavior on Joe's part being a public figure like that using that much force without thought. We both know Joe didn't believe for a second he thought he was imminent danger here....he's hitting a tiny doucebag basically. But people die from getting cold clocked like that and it's fucking crazy he just subjects himself to these situations. A person falls and dies and your defense is a tiny untrained manlet flinched at a professional fighter twice his size then good luck to you. I'm not saying whats right or wrong but the reality of the situation.

99% of judges would rule against Joe, this is an easy case

He try that at a big city club, it wouldn't end well lol.

I’m one hundred percent serious about this. I kind of feel sorry for professional fighters and it is shocking to me that we don’t hear about stuff like this happening more often. Being a 20 something male at a club is the worst. Everybody postures and flexes to impress honeys and their boys, and add liquor that and well, you’re in for stuff like this. Add being a somewhat famous pro fighter??? Well now your just never going to have a peaceful night out. You just know there’s a room full of guys who would love to get the chance to tell their homies about when they punk’d out a famous fighter. I’m not even defending what Joe did just saying we should all be glad it doesn’t happen a whole hell of a lot more.

I mean the guy does look like a typical douchebag, that is really annoying at a bar. But as a pro fighter that’s just gross, and you shouldn’t ever do that, and he should probably go to jail.

it doesn't happen more because most pro-fighters are not out of control dickheads.

Nice to see Sherdog hasn't changed with all the douchebags defending douchebag Joe.

Okay if that’s your theory do the exact same thing to a cop. End of discussion. If your theory of it being non threatening is true, again even though in that slip second a person wouldn’t know if it was threatened or not, do the exact same move to a cop.

I'd like to see if there was another angle from security footage to see if we are missing anything(like the guy was actually about to launch a punch) though I don't think he was. But yes I sure as fuck would not be confident if I were Joe.
