Joe Schilling sucker punching drunk guy

He didn't lunge at him. He leaned forward with his chin exposed in the air and his chest out with both hands behind him. It was the worst position to start an attack. It is the usual posture of someone involved in a verbal argument...
Youre in the minority here buddy, Balboa called Joe out then flexed on him and got cracked. Case thrown out….

No...seriously. You need to watch it again. But will your stubborn donkey ass mentality admit that you were wrong? Doubtful.
Abd I told u - I watched it again several times. Just because schilling won that case doesn't mean that he was right- u seem to not realise that judges decide on tbe balance of probabilities in common law cases. This means that there is no certainty it was the right decision objectively speaking since judges are only human but for the purposes of that person's civi rights it decides his claim and he has to appeal to reverse the decision.

Sorry guy. Actions have consequences. The guy not only called Schilling to him, he lunged at him like he was going to punch him.

Maybe don't pick a fight with a big jacked dude in a bar and you won't get your lights punched out.
It seems might means right to you. I don't agree with that mentality. Anyway I have said my view repeatedly and there's no point in repeating it anymore as I have said all I meant to say on the topic. It is what it is and if u think schilling was right then I hope u don't encounter an ex prizefighter in a bar one evening when u have had more to drink than was wise...

You watched it several times, yet you claim the drunk guys hands were behind his back and that he didn't feint a bunch.

Have you had your eyes checked recently? Maybe you can't see very well.

I don't give a fuck about Joe, or him punching drunk people...

But reading through this thread, what the fuck is wrong with some of you losers?

The amount of joy some posters got about being right about Joe not getting in any trouble over this is pathetic. To requote shit from years ago and spend this much time posting about it is about as basement dwelling as it gets.

You must be very proud of yourself

I hope you do encounter an ex prize fighter in a bar one evening when you have had more to drink than was wise. You didn't learn a lesson from watching this clip, so maybe you should learn the hard way.

Joe has his hands down, unclenched fists. Balboa steps in with his left foot, chest out hands pulled back. Joe feels threatened, stand your ground law kicks in and Balboa gets kod.

Open and shut case

Let's say your right, and in law, it appears you are.

It's pretty sad and disgusting a developed country has laws like this. American laws have to be the dumbest of any developed country in the world.

I didn't say his hands were behind his back. I said he thrust his chin forward and upwards and his chest outwards with his hands behind him - which is what he did. The classic posture for someone engaging in a verbal argument. Instead of resorting to getting personal and insulting me, u should limit yourself to the topic.

I seriously question your ability to see. But now I recognize maybe its more of a mental problem.

depends, Im almost certain instances like this have taken place where Joe Schilling is the guy that gets KOd. The fact a law is in place to ensure a person can defend himself when threatened without repercussions is a good thing.

I hoped u don't get into such an altercation but u wish I would....so in addition to worshipping thuggish behaviour, u also wish ill on those who disagree with you on Internet discussions...I am sorry for you if that is your true character....

For the record I don't drink and I don't go to bars nor places where people drink to excess. And I also don't act in anti social ways and I am polite to everyone including to people who.bump into me accidentally. I also have trained for many years in several unarmed and armed martial arts including boxing and I would hope that I would have better instincts than to allow anyone to approach me in such a threatening way and leave myself defenseless as balboa did ...

But there are many people who behave in unwise ways because they have alcoholicizm or behavioural issues and who have no defensive instincts to speak of as they have never trained in martial arts or sports. I suppose in your world they deserve to be beaten up and knocked out h the "alpha" males of your world.

We do have many idiotic laws. But you come across as quite dumb picking one of the actual good ones to call out as dumb. Also, it is "you're".

> lunge forward at professional fighter

> get knocked out

> claim victim

> don’t profit

You seem really confused.

I stated that drunk guy messed up by calling Schilling over to him and then feinting like he was going to throw a punch. That's where this situation went wrong. Then you proceed to tell me " I hope you don't encounter an ex prize fighter in a bar when you have had too much to drink". Like wtf? Why would I do the same thing that drunk guy did with Schilling when I'm criticizing the drunk guy for his actions? It's you who doesn't seem to understand how things work.

Had Schilling not reacted, he could've been blasted by a right hand. The drunk guy literally steps in, makes a sudden movement just like what happens when you throw a punch. But you think he was leaning in to argue. Wow.

Drunk guy should've had his hands out to his sides as if he is balancing dinner plates at Olive Garden if he didn't want to appear aggressive.

Not only do u have the typical adolescents' lack of humility to admit when you misread what u wrote, u double down on the prepubescent inability to refrain from making personal attacks on people they disagree with. Now apparently because I can't agree with u, I have a mental issue. Newsflash bucky - in the real world this is called a difference of opinion. If u cannot deal with this without resorting to insults etc u are going to have a problem when u leave school to start working...

You and I both know that you are wrong. I know that you know that you are wrong. There's nothing left but to judge your character.

Not admitting when you're wrong is very weak and cowardly. I called it from one of the very first interactions we had. That you wouldn't admit you were mistaken. And now here we are.

If he makes as if he is balancing dinner hands he would have to raise his hands to at least chest height. U actually think the drunk guy should have RAISED HIS HANDS in that situation?! He got knocked out for thrusting his chin at Schilling! His hands were below or at his waist height when he got cllobbered. If that is a feint to u, then the act of raising the hands to chest height is even more like a feint isn't it?

U have to understand the severity of what he did. He could have easily killed balboa. Plenty of people have been killed in bar fights by hitting their heads on the floor when they are knocked out. There is no excuse for a trained guy like him especially to use such force evee if that guy was threatening to attack him (which he wasnt). He could have:-

1. Clinched him.and wrapped him up in a muay Thai plum which would have rendered him inert and then tripped him to take him down to control him. Joe rogan did that once to someone on fear factor who was arguing with him.
2. Done a double leg takedown on him and then controlled him
3. Used a judo style throw on him and then controlled him on the ground
4. Used sheer strength to bring him to the ground given he was clearly far stronger and bigger and heavier than balboa
5. Even punched him jn the solar plexus or liver and then caught him as he fell so that he didn't hit his head

If he had been killed, Schilling would likely be going down for manslaughter.
