There were rumors on Sherdog years ago that he was going to fight Phil Baroni in the UFC. This was like 2007 or 2008, so shortly after Baroni had just knocked out Yuki Kondo, Ryo Chonan and Ikuhisa Minowa in Pride.Imagine how easy it would have been for him to get a fight in the UFC if he really wanted to show what he could do, would have drawn big numbers too, and yet all those years he never did.
Pro? Like who? Also again, he's had literal decades to spar a multitude of MMA guys -he grapples multiple times a week. Pretty common for even grapplers in fight gyms to spar some other guys once in a while and he has access to all of them. He chooses not to. Telling.
A lot of people don't believe it but since this was 80s early 90s when gym wars were common, I'm inclined to believe it

Hes mentioned names before. I cant recall them. Strong golden gloves. Regional. Not famous names broadly
It's possible this happened. I have nothing else to add. The emotional feelings equating to people not believing him is weird though, Joe Rogan kicks like a horse and him landing clean on someone could hurt someone pretty bad, it hard to imagine if you are not emotionally attached to just not believing anything he says, which isn't objective in the slightest and not tied to reality.
It wasn't sophisticated but they could really crack in the good old days. I have no trouble at all believing it.
This first guy is insanely powerful
One training partner shot into a knee about a year or two ago. His face was immediately sagging/looked off because he broke his orbital. He didn’t get knocked out or dropped, just broke his cheek.
He also didn’t need surgery
Deron Winn confirmedRumors say the other guy was 4'9

He had killer kicks even in his 50s..Why do unconfirmable stories always make the teller out to be a macho hero? Do people that tell these stories actually think anyone believes them?
He was a beast at BJJ and his TKD uppbringing helped himRogan is worthy of much criticism for a lot of things, but AFAIK he has never put himself on par with UFC-level fighters and he is even rather humble and realistic about his relative abilities in BJJ.
