Joe Rogan: Guys like me didn't exist 30 years ago

Can someone explain what he means? (I'm not watching a Rogan video) If its just older guys being built, its a pretty asinine statement. 30 years ago is 1995, not some mythical time where juice heads didn't exist.

He meant jacked

first off he's a comedian you shouldn't take anything he says too seriously.

second off he has a point fitness and body building has become much much more popular since the 80's and 30 years ago people who were 57 probably never got into bodybuilding see joe got into it much earlier

30 years ago was 1995 like some have stated. yes there were 57 year olds walking around jacked like joe. but back then there internet was in its infancy and there wasnt tic toc or youtube or facebook influencers posting their body every day around the globe.

40 years + would be more accurate.

Yes, there were people that age with muscle 30 years ago. I was around then. Roids existed then.

The way Joe puts it that "There weren't people like me" comes from the extreme narcissism he gets from all of the incels that support his show. It's really caused him to be a legend in his own mind.

Anyone any age can take steroids, it really doesn't make you a legend, it makes you a moron.

Before to click I thought je was talking about dude making millions via youtube. I was like "yeah no shit, that kind of platform wasn't around back in the day".

Also, only 2 pages for a Joe Rogan thread ? What happened ?

Also outside of fitness people at least know now what is good and bad for you better than before. We are not so far removed from a time when smoking wasn't considered harmful.

This also would explain why everytime the age topic comes to these boards every single sherdogger says "I'm xx years old.. but I look 10 years younger". No shit.. past generations aged like shit compared to us.

What I think ages people the worst (other than genetics) is stress. And I think most people stress less now.

as a high level sherdog poster. i might not be at his age yet but i am fit as fuck . no steroids. No millions in the bank and top level recovery. Mental health is where the biggest decline begins and a lack of regular sex. people need to take care of themselves. we legit are not old until like 60 if we follow proper self care. We can do it with out testosterone supplementation and peptides. Joe rogan is weak in comparison to what sherdog posters can achieve. People these days with their trt and their blue chews at 25. Bunch of weak mother suckers. Clap cheeks until you are 70.
Hell yeah, clap cheeks
what's his name

Honestly I work in healthcare so I see tons of people every day and I get to see their birthdate....most of the Internet people saying that are simply delusional. I've noticed that everyone on the Internet thinks they look incredibly young for their age, but in real life virtually everyone looks their age or close to it.

I have definitely seen some freak outliers, but that's the point, they are rare enough that they stood out amongst thousands and thousands of people. Meanwhile if you look at YouTube video, half the comments are bragging about how they look 20 years younger than their age, which is just asinine.

Maybe it's because people post a lot of filtered pics these days so people comment that they look young, or the person starts to perceive themselves as actually looking like the filtered pic in person? Definitely a weird phenomenon.

filtered pics are a big problem. they can actually alter your perception of someone. even without the filter. like your memories confuse it if you have seen them enough with the filter. oddly enough makeup can do this too though so people kind of think of it like that and think its okay.
