So, you don't like Joe Rogan ?If you don't realize by now that Joe cares about no one, uses his group of buddies as an idiot echo chamber and is a shill for his employer, the UFC, that also happens to be a horrible commentator and hyperbolic, that's on you.
exactly, they could have an amazing year of profit but have debt obligations that barely get covered. I think this is a very complicated issue, and if they want better pay then they need to get another company to buy out the UFC. WME was fucked from covid and UFC is barely picking up the slack in their portfolio.I don't really have a problem with anything he said per say.
He just said they all deserve more but with only one major player they are getting what they get. He said he doesn't talk business with them but knows WME is hurting, they laid off workers and there has been some news stories about WME's finances, so he is right on some level. Talks about the massive expense of just keeping the doors open in the UFC.
No doubt, we all know the fighters should get more. But that is up the fighters to do something about it at this point, blame them. WME isn't out of the goodness of their heart just raise pay scale by 20% of the revenue, no business does that over night and we shouldn't expect the UFC to do it either.
Everyone is like that, Ngannou only cares about fighter pay because it benefits him, his nigerian bros doesn't give a fuck because it's not their problem. It's the normal thing to do, you can never see a succesfull person crying about making other people rich. Why is your daddy Holloway is not showing his support for Ngannou? Because it's not his fucking problem. He probably negotiates behind the scenes for his own earnings but there is zero reason for him to cry about complete stranger.
You care about fighter pay because all you have to do is comment and cry so it won't negatively effect you, you don't have to make an effort about it.
Most you are too afraid to ask your boss for a raise but when it's come to ufc pay you guys are acting like tough guy
If you were working at UFC you would never dare to say anyhing about fight pay.
True, this clip is a year or so old but the the issue of fighter pay is just as real now as it was back then. The UFC was still posting record profits while paying its fighters a fraction of their overall revenue compared to boxing and other professional sports. AFAIK, Joe hasn't changed his stance so his obviously shill comments are still relevant.

All very true. I think he even admitted to being a UFC shill because that's his job.

WME almost went bankrupt at the start of the pandemic, but alas we weren’t so lucky.
Regardless, they have billions in debt across multiple loans (and loans to pay for other loans), so it’s not like the record revenue is all profit
