Joe Joyce and his people need to seriously think about his health at this point, Hrgovic was pinging him all night with right hands, and while Joyce is a tough guy, he already sounds pretty bad and doesnt need to take anymore damage

i think even a fight against someone like Wardley may be a win, but not without taking a lot of damage

Joyce is now 2-4 in his last 6 fights and has been knocked out twice. I'll say the same thing I said about Wilder and that's to retire. He won't, the money is too good, but his faculties are already sounding like they're fucked. Hrgovic doesn't need to retire but he's never going to win a world title.

He's a novelty act at this point. How many clean shots can this guy eat?
And lets be honest he's painful to watch, the cringe has morphed into wince.

This. Especially with that Juggernaut helmet he was wearing. It's a disgrace to the X-Men franchise.

Yeah since his nickname is The Juggernaut he decided to wear one resembling the actual Juggernaut's helmet from the X-Men movies.

That fucking helmet is ludicrous.

I'm pretty sure it was a cheap helmet for the character "The Juggernaut".

I agree this latest one is a downgrade - much preferred the animated-style one.

Anyone else feel like the top guys in the 1990s HW division would have absolutely demolished fighters on this level?
(I know this isn't a particularly hot take or original or anything like that but God DAMN these guys are slow and sloppy)

Lennox Lewis
Holyfield
Big daddy Bowe
Ray Mercer
Tyson
Andrew Golatta
Michael Moorer
Shannon Briggs
Sherdogz own Terrible Tim Witherspoon

Even the old Grand daddy's Foreman and Larry Holmes

Razor Ruddick, Frank Bruno and Oliver McCall, all seemed a million times faster, more powerful and more athletic

David Tua would knock Joyce's head off.

What the fuck happened?

Joyce's footwork looks like he is recovering from a stroke.
He keeps getting off-balance from his own missed jabs, when he misses a hook he winds up with his back to his opponent.

Can we get some fucking steroids and aggression back please ?
You're mentioning a bunch of guys from different generations as if all those guys were all good at the same time lol. And Joe Joyce is 40 years old, a lot of those guys weren't hot at that age either.

Quite a few of them actually looked decent to that age.

If they ever fought a ranked guy in that era looking THAT slow I have a hard time seeing anyone get out of round 2.

Joyce was tripping over his own feet just throwing a jab. Numerous times.

Feel free to show me video of any of the guys I mentioned looking THAT ridiculously slow and washed in the 1990s.
I could be mis remembering,, letting the ol rose color glasses get the best of me. Maybe.

Despite his kinda disappointing performance, how do you guys think Whyte would’ve done against Joyce though?
