North America is quickly becoming balkanized. Toronto is held up as the shining example of "multiculturalism", but anyone who has spent even one week here knows it's segregated by racial lines. Outside of areas where you have to co-mingle (work, school, etc.) all of the races stay apart from each other. The city is divided by race - there's the indian area, the black area, the chinese area, and very small pockets of white people who haven't yet been driven out to the suburbs.

Humans are tribal by nature and routinely self-segregate. It happens everywhere on earth, from college campuses (afro-centric dorms) to prison (gangs are divided by race) to entire cities (Toronto as an example). The multicult has never worked anywhere on earth. It's possible as long as people live under 1st world standards, but it will break down into complete chaos if the economy tanks and people get desperate. You will see the exact same thing you see now in the middle east.
