When I was cruising with the Navy on a MEU in 2008 we all got our absentee ballots the day before the election. Mail only comes and goes from the boat every so often. So by the time our votes left the boat the election was already decided.
My dad spoke with a state politician back home and the dude said oh well thats the way it goes. He didn't even try to placate my father with, "let's work on that." Or anything. My dad was pissed the dude just blew him off. Most politicians are sick in the head and don't give two shits about anyone as long as they get to keep power.

1. It's certainly plausible to take Biden's comments as affectionately denigrating, as can be common among friends.
2. The difference between video like this being mainly ignored while supposedly venerable media sources like the Atlantic bandy about secretly sourced rumors about similar statements from Trump is instructive.

So to our stunned surprise everything the democraps accuse Trump of they are guilty of themselves. Really makes you think when they screech about Trump being responsible for 200,000 American deaths.

And no, this isn't a double standard, because there is no genuine disparaging remark. The allegations against Trump (and to his defense, have not been substantiated and remain anonymous) are that he made genuinely insulting remarks or showed a genuine lack of empathy for soldier killed in battle. So, not really a case of the media hiding this story from the public. It's clear that this is a non story. As it's clear that the allegations against Trump have yet to be collaborated. And honestly, I wish the media wouldn't waste our time with either.
