Who was he before that KO though? He's only been in the UFC for 3 months and dropped a loss already in that time. He's finances aren't gonna turn around overnight.
In every other professional sport in the US that is precisely what happens though. Also given the annual revenue of the UFC they should be able to exceed the current pay structure signi without hurting their bottom line. This would also attract higher caliber athletes and do wonders for the long term brand.

Again, youre just a dick. You’re not showing anyone anything. You’re just an online dick.

And a simpleton. Who adds nothing of value to any discussion.

If you ever want to discuss a topic that would be fine. But instead you’re just a dick. Congrats.

There's no need to be upset. Learn from your mistakes and be better.

I mean capitalism doesn't need to be some static unchangeable thing.
At one point slavery was "the best economic model, but truly flawed in some aspects".
Plenty of pro athletes and leagues and other industries have been shown to exist with more money going fairly to the people having the hardest time despite arguably working the hardest.
I'm in favor of the slavery model for fighters, personally.

That’s a fucking shame. You are responsible for the greatest KO of the year in the premiere professional MMA promotion and you still have to work at fucking Walgreens. Guy just had a baby in August and since August has body bagged 2 previously undefeated fighters in exciting fashion.

The fact that UFC pays 10-18% of their revenue to fighters is fucking disgusting. Every other major sport pays close to 50/50 split, including boxing.
God 10-18% is truly sickening.

does that include the 15k deductible? No subsidies for him.
It's more like a $7K deductible, with a few free doctors visits, and the rest like $20. And if you make under like $40K a year or something, you get subsidies. So if you're making $25K, you're probably only paying $30 a month, and the government pays the other $170. If you're even poorer, you can get on medicaid for free.. I used to get free medicaid when I waited tables. People not having health insurance used to be a real thing before Obamacare, now it's their own fault. Most people that don't have health insurance are simply too lazy to sign up for it and apply for subsidies or medicaid, probably because they're too high or drunk to use a computer, and then just blame the government and some faceless capitalist lol.

Food for thought meth was invented during the 1930s in Germany to do what adderall basically does today: increased energy and focus. When WW2 broke out they took that over the counter meth they were selling to the public refined and enhanced the product and it became a super soldier pill.

You ever hear about pilots in WW2 flying for 72 hours straight focused as hell? It's because they high AF on meth.

It was why they were able to conquer western Europe. They rolled around northern Europe on a massive mechanized blitzkrieg around that massive French wall. The allies still had the forces to stop them despite maneuvering around that giant wall, the Maginot Line? They just had to regroup, and push them back. But they could never regroup because the Germans never stopped; they were on those pills and their tankers just pushed forward for like 5-6 days straight without sleeping.

Yeah look at Shane Carwin and Stipe, they never accomplished anything because they worked full time while training...
Shane was able to quit when he blew out his back. If he quit his job, he'd have been faced with continuing fighting for those big paydays until his body and brain completely broke down, or enter the workforce from the very bottom again. Luckily, he didn't have to make that choice and was able to go back to engineering. Stipe will be able to go back to firefighting. Those guys a tier down that aren't even making that kind of money, but are making enough to not have to work now so they quit their jobs, could learn something..

What does a single knockout have to do with everything that happened prior to it?

Noone wants to actually answer the question of what they would do if they were in charge of running the ufc and why.....

Except if you know anything about firefighters is that it is anything but a 9-5, a lot of downtime and you get weeks off. It would be the best job for a professional athlete to have because of that

Yeah, keep your day job and keep grinding. That way if mma doesn’t work out you can go back to your regular career and train/coach as a hobby.

So get a regular job that allows you time to train? Brilliant idea.

I mean, even if MMA does work out, when you're 35-40, eventually you have to go back into the workforce or choose to destroy your mind and body for 5 more years of getting your ass kicked to be a resume piece for younger guys (and then eventually go into the workforce anyways after that). Have fun going back into the workforce at 35-40 with no work experience in the past 15 years, while having no job skills, or you haven't used the skills you did have in 15 years..

Hey, it's just Walgreens.. but being at the very least a manager at Walgreens at 35 and developing job skills and licenses and certifications along the way is a hell of a lot better that starting at the bottom with teenagers.

U.F.C. = U Fight Cheap

<{CMPALM}>
