This dude should mentor Mike Perry on how the real world actually works. I like him.
Sherdoggers expecting 20 million dollar contracts for only 3 fights. This isn’t NBA, Futbol, MLB, NFL or NHL. MMA is newer than all those sports plus the revenue those other sports get from TV deals/sponsors is 10x more than MMA will ever get.
The guy is 3 fights into his UFC career with a record of 2-1... you guys expect him to be a millionaire?
Do any of you understand how business works?

Just wrong. Most sports pay 50-80% of their total profits in fighter/player wages. UFC pays around 15-18%. UFC is also not comparable to "mediocre D-league/practice squads" . . . which often receive their pay equivalent. Out of curiosity, what's your problem with "fans crying about pay"? I mean, UFC fighters get paid a hugely significant percentage less of their promoter/sports' profit margin than do most other pros, within and outside of combat sports. That should bother you, not fans "crying" about it.I've been saying for years that these aren't professional athletes, 95% of MMA fighters are "semi-professional"
Pro in MMA is just a way to distinguish/DQ you from amateur status.
Fans cry about pay but this isn't specific to the UFC. Alot of pro leagues have medicore D-league/practice squad payouts and most of these sports are 5x more profitable then UFC.........
You mean Parler? They definitely don’t. This is what happens when you give a bunch of plebs a platform to speak.

How about rest and family time. Why should a good fighter have to work a crap job to make ends meet. If Dana had 24 Ferrari's instead of 25 and 11 houses instead of 12 maybe the guy could spend some time with family, go on a vacation or get some rest/leisure.Not really a big deal. Lots of fighters work a regular job and then train for a few hours at night. If you’re training over 2-3 hours a day you’re going to be over trained and will get injured easier.
Jesus Christ...he still works at Walgreens!? Willing to bet after Dana here's this he won't be anymore.
It makes the UFC look bad
Joe Silva or something wanted to give the guy a 200k bonus and Dana White went over to the guy and said hey here's 50k bro lolThat’s a fucking shame. You are responsible for the greatest KO of the year in the premiere professional MMA promotion and you still have to work at fucking Walgreens. Guy just had a baby in August and since August has body bagged 2 previously undefeated fighters in exciting fashion.
The fact that UFC pays 10-18% of their revenue to fighters is fucking disgusting. Every other major sport pays close to 50/50 split, including boxing.
This is only partially true. Team sports where your an employee and have a union ? (aka not the UFC) Yes.Just wrong. Most sports pay 50-80% of their total profits in fighter/player wages
In this context (entry level fighter on 1st contract) yes. D-league and practice squad in 90% of sports has a higher talent pool and more previous exposure than most UFC fighters......UFC is also not comparable to "mediocre D-league/practice squads"
But not every day fighters reach the popularity that Buckley did with one move.Doubt it, they talk about fighters having other jobs on broadcasts all the time.
But, Walgreens may have a decent benefits package for him. If my job was to get kicked in the head, I would certainly ensure I had decent health insurance. He made well over 100k the last 5 weeks alone. He doesn't need to work at walgreens
It's not about how much they pay. It's about the percentage of the revenue they give to the fighters, regardless what the revenue is.Sherdoggers expecting 20 million dollar contracts for only 3 fights. This isn’t NBA, Futbol, MLB, NFL or NHL. MMA is newer than all those sports plus the revenue those other sports get from TV deals/sponsors is 10x more than MMA will ever get.

I mean he's barely made any money yet in his MMA career, makes sense that he'd still have a part time job. Although now might be the time to quit and go all in MMA since he's made a bit of cash the last couple months.
Nah.Sounds like Krause is about to get shot up
