Weili was disappointing tbh
She had NOTHING for Valentina

Out of all the 115 champs that have went up to challenge Valentina, Joanna did the best

She lost by decision too but the fight was waayy more competitive than this one with Weili. At least Joanna was able to stop some takedowns and get back up from the TDs so she could keep the fight standing for more time.

At least she was able to win 1 round against Valentina, I know that's now much but it's better than Weili that lost every single round easily.

Andrade was the worst for sure out of them all becayse she got finished, Weili at least survived to the final bell but Joanna was the one who did it better of them all

Mind you, Valentina back then was really in her prime. Remember Joanna was also the first one to challenge her

Grasso did better than Weili

Manon did better than Weili

Talia did better than Weili

Jennifer Maia did better than Weili

It's a secret to some, but Joanna is a better fighter in her prime over all than weili even when joanna was a bit past it she still gave weili all she could handle.

Rose beat Joanna in her prime twice and she also beat Weili twice in her prime.

Yeah Weili deserves some credit for daring to be great, but if we're calling a spade a spade, she fought terribly imo -- horrible gameplan and no idea on how to defend rudimentary takedowns. I know the size advantage was there for Shev, but honestly I feel it was more of a skill advantage than a size advantage.

Weightclasses exist for a reason. Weili was just a slightly more game andrade. Manon is the most physically gifted of those fighters, hence why she did the best.

It’s wild because all of those women were so underestimated when they came in to fight Valentina. No one was giving Santos or Grasso a chancewhereas people were generally picking Zhang to win. What I’m trying to emphasize that this completely went against our prior expectations before the fight. MMA is truly an unpredictable sport

Personally, This fight went exactly to my expectations.

IMO both fights are kinda un interesting. the rest of the main card is more interesting.

I know everyone wants to jizz and shit their pants over champ vs champ fights, but Jack has no title defenses, and his only win against the current top crop of top fighters is belal. Then again, Islams only top win against an active fighter is charles and an ancient irrelevent win against armen It's the least appealing champ vs champ matchup ever made.

Shevchenko vs weili I see as a sqaush match. Shevchenko takes her down, then weili goes on a tour of Mt.Crucifix

JJ is a better match up for Valentina. That doesnt necessarily mean shes better than weili overall

JJ has more reach than weili and is actually taller than valentina. Those things are partly what allowed her to do better against valentina in the stand up.

But JJ also is not the offensive grappler that weili is but that didnt matter against valentina. So the very thing that allowed weili to 10-8 JJ with in their rematch was not useful against valentina. That doesnt somehow mean that advantage of weilis is obsolete especially considering that she 10-8ed joanna with it

Styles make fights. You can also say that weili had a closer fight with rose than JJ did in the rematches and of course the two direct wins over her

Im not saying weili is better than JJ but you cant use one mutual opponent theyve had as the sole argument especially when weili has other arguments on her side

Shes better in some ways. Not better in others. Theres several arguments in favor of weili. Two head to head wins. Closer rematch with rose. Better competition during her title reign. Lemos, suarez, yan and obviously JJ herself are better than penne, gadelha, letourneau and karolina

It's between Weili and JJ as far as SW Goat. Rose is somewhere below
