Jiri thinks Rountree wouldn't be a true challenge for him, do you agree?

Fun fight but jiri is 3 to 1 maybe 4 to 1. Those fights are always kind of dumb for top 3 guys

I think there are technical aspects to Rountree’s standup that would present major problems to an unorthodox striker like Prochazka. Plus, Rountree did better against Pereira.

Great fight, difficult matchup for Jiri.
Rountree winning wouldn't surprise me one bit. 50:50 fight

This is the drawback of booking Jiri vs Hill. Now he's number 2 with recent wins over 4 and 5? But he definitely shouldn't be within title eliminator range, so where does he go from here? If Ulberg beats Jan, I want him against Pereira next, but if Jan wins, then I could see him versus Jiri. If Ank loses against Alex, that's another possibility for Jiri.

Can't say I agree. We saw the fight he put up with Pereira. Khalil is too good and explosive not to be a challenge. But hill vs Khalil makes more sense where they're both coming off losses.

Pretty goofy of Jiri to dismiss Khalil like that, I mean Khalil is ranked a little low and deserves a somewhat lower-ranked opponent, but I'd honestly like the underdog odds on Khalil cause Jiri relies on his chin a lot and Khalil has that orthodox MT technique and explosive power

It's possible, but I do think Rountrees performance against Alex is slightly overrated due to how big of an underdog he was. He had a hard time connecting with his blitzes and landed at a very low frequency, and got brutalized in the end.

He was quite close many times, though, so there was always a sense of danger.

Still think Jiri would beat him, but I would definitely like to see it.

but i don't think khalil is deserving of a title eliminator right now. maybe have him fight ulberg or rakic.
How is that a title eliminator if neither should be fighting for the belt for now? Specially Jiri having lost twice by KO.

Didnt rountree give Poatan the most problems overall so far in the UFC?(not talking about the 1 or 2 shots izzy landed and won)
Doesn't matter which fight you pick that izzy had with Pereira, he did better than everyone, including khalil

Could be a language barrier thing here.

Def should not overlook Khalil

Absolutley that is a challenging match up for jiri, however I'd rather see hill get ko'd one more time so I'm in favour of roundtree vs hill
Good point but Rakic can do that. He needs a bounce back fight anyways.

Only problem with that is Rakic privilege matchmaking getting 3 top 5 fighters in a row, but who cares

Rountree kicks like a horse and jiri can't check kicks if his life depended on it. I'd still favor Jiri, but he might want to re-think the "isn't a challenge" part of his thinking.

Don't think this fight makes a lot of sense right now but I'd love to see it regardless. Definitely favour Jiri to KO Rountree but there'd be some dangerous moments for him in there early on.

I want to like Procházka, and I do respect him as a fighter. However, I think his opinion about Rountree is a bad take.

Rountree lasted over three rounds with Pereira is in his one and only fight with him.

Procházka himself required two fights to achieve essentially the same duration.

Rountree had a few good moments in his fight against Pereira , while Procházka didn't really have any.

I believe Rountree would be a very good challenge for Procházka, and I think his statement will age poorly if they ever fight.

This. OF COURSE that should be a great fight, but Khalil is coming of a brutal loss vs the champ, in a (let's be honest) gifted title shot. So I´m with Jiri on this one, although I´d definitely tune it.

not saying Jiri should get a TS... but that Khalil is essentially leapfrogging the division for no reason

he was #8 and then lost his fight to alex. we shouldn't reward fighters for just being 'tough' or winning a round or 2 when they aren't using a sustainable gameplan.

his last win was anthony smith #14 and chris daukus who isn't ranked. he needs to fight people mid pack like #5 to #9
