That would be a nasty cut for him I think He's never been the type to balloon and cut, or at least it hasn't seemed like it. If he could make the cut without it adversely affecting him, then sure. Not going to lie. I wouldn't be against a Jiri/Izzy or a Jiri/MVP fight. He'd wreck Izzy. But I think MVP's still quick enough to make it interesting.

Rakic had staph or something and coming back from blowing out his knee and one hunnid percent he was smoking Jiri. Rewatch the fight brudda

It's weird that normal weight cuts for other weight classes are big for heavier guys who can cut serious weight. Let's say Jiri retains all his mass and is 210. Cutting 25 pounds is a cake walk for manlets at 135 and 145.

More chinny? Alex damn near had to kill him to get Rountree out of there, whereas Jiri folded in both fights the first time Alex landed anything significant. Both guys have obviously been finished but (lately anyway) Khalil looks like the more durable guy. Or at least **as** durable.

Rakic is massively underrated imo and could hang with the best from any era.

If Rakic's IQ was 10-15 points higher, this would be true, but that is his curse.

Jiri vs Khalil is one of the fights where I don't want either guy to lose, but I know someone is either getting slept, or worse, taking some stupid damage even if they only have 3 rounds.

Unless you have diamond chin Mark Hunt level durability you're gonna be "chinny" at LHW because no human is supposed to be capable of absorbing damage against 200+ pound super athletes. DC is chinny for getting dropped against Rumble. Rumble is chinny for getting dropped by Augusto. Rampage is chinny for getting slept by Wanderlei. Prime Wanderlei is chinny for getting blasted by VItor. Gustaffson is chinny for getting finished by Rumble. Glover is chinny for getting smoked by Gus and Rumble. Jan is chinny for getting slept by Thiago Santos.

Where is the hype around this fight? It has total violence written all over it. I really like to watch them both, Jiri with his own karateish style mixed with spinning shit and Khalil with bad ass muay thai..

Will we see a 3 round war or is someone getting stopped? Will one of them wrestle, in that case who is more likely?

I think someone gets stopped, neither can afford to fuck about because they're both very dangerous strikers, this one is gonna be fun.

The UFC finally used some common sense when it came to building a card. This fight all but guarantees a LHW title fight on that day. Same holds true with Aspinall vs Gane. Common sense dictates that Jiri should take this, but for some reason, I think Khall comes to make a statement and surprises everyone. If Jiri comes up short in this fight, he's going to find himself in a pretty shitty spot.

Yeah, there's always gonna be guys who look chinny at times, but then other times eat shots and are okay.

Khalil only needs to win 2 rounds to beat Jiri.

Which means if he does leg kicks and has good defense, there's a good chance he wins the round.

Jiri's way to victory is KO/TKO, because judges won't like his style which takes damage --- it will be scored against him in a round.

If it was a 5-rounder, definitely someone getting TKO/KO.

Rakic is massively underrated imo and could hang with the best from any era. Big layoff against Jiri and looked good and the Ank loss can't be held against him because imo Ank is the most talented LHW since Jon Jones.

Rakic has been in the UFC for more than 8 years now and he barely has a positive record, counting some very obscure wins too.

Ank is the most technically sound LHW at the moment, in a group of fighters that had very close matches with the corpses of Glover and Jan. That's about it.

Well this fight is complicated -

Jiri was #1 supposed to fight Ulberg which ducked. Then got offered to be standby for Ankalaev-Pereira 2 aaaand then accepted fight vs Rountree. So i personally would say that camp must have been kinda complicated as he basically prepared for 3 fighters at once. + fact that its 3rd fight when Jiri was supposed to be fighting in 5rounder (they even tried to negotatiate 5 rounder but UFC reportedly refused to because there are already two 5 rounders on card)

With all that said iam 100% sure that Ankalaev would be easier fight for Jiri than Rountree as Rountree is explosive and can surprise, on other side, Jiri should be able to dominate this fight if he fights responsibly(which he dont do very often).

Did you notice how Rakič never mentioned Jiri again? There are reasons for it. He literally embarassed Rakič. -

#1 xxx years ago, Jiri whooped Rakic's ass in Austria during sparrings.(Rakics gym partner talked about this sparring - later was forced to delete video)
#2 Jiri joined UFC, KO'd Oezdemir in debut and got offered fight vs Rakič.
#3 Rakič ducked Jiri and started post bs on social media how he aims only for title and how Jiri is worthless lowlvl opponent, etc..
#4 Jiri knocking out Reyes and then Teixeira.... - Rakič now urgently trying to fight Jiri....
#5 Jiri injures, loses to Pereira and got offered Rakič fight as title eliminator.
#6 Rakič says all kind of bs - how Jiri is not real samurai, etc...
#7 Jiri walks into fight with sickness (staph aswell as Rakič) - literally says that he wants to show Rakič that he have no power and walk through his shots...

- It was stupidity to the top by Jiri, but he literally dominated Rakič even tho he let him do whatever and didnt care about defense... - There was literally moment where Rakič was crying/yelling out for help to ref during ground and pound... u go and rewatch the fight. - BTW it was second worst performance by Jiri in UFC... Rakič is technically good fighter but he got 0 heart.
