jiris biggest issue in the fight was the leg kicks in his orthodox stance, when he switched to southpaw the leg kicks were not as effectice, but jiri was not comfortable enough in that stance. If jiri can become more comfortable in southpaw, that could definitely be a factor in avoiding the leg kicks, along with learning how to check them. He can win it

Black belt Poatan will submit him :)

He did struggle with the kicks but really what did him in is when he had Poatan backed up, which he did often, in that last exchange he got a little too reckless/overzealous and that was the opening that a cornered Poatan needed.

He need to stay frosty and do everything right. Cant mess up with a guy like this.

Wouldn't southpaw open up getting hooked by Alex anytime Jiri jabs?

He definitely can beat him. Up until he ate the double hook combo that sat him down backing Alex up was getting some success for Jiri, and turning off alex's leg kick game that was tearing jiris leg up. Both guys are looking for a kill shot so it just comes down to who makes the biggest mistakes.

Potatoman got his black belt from the guy Jiri submitted ;)

Maybe Glover should give his black belt to Jiri.
It's actually nutty he got the tap there. No hooks or anything. And that's not even a proper bulldog choke because he would have needed the other arm under the chin.

Jiri also doesn’t really seem to have one lunch power but more swarming stoppage ability. I don’t think Jiri is THAt dangerous for alex

Jiri should wrestel

Surely he can do this in 2 weeks after he sees this thread

Of course. He didn’t look outmatched in their first fight, and had his moments as well…

But a fight between two strikers usually favors the better striker, and Pereira is the better striker.
yeah but Jiri has a pocket full of x factors

or "crazy shit" as I like to call it
