Jiri looked terrible tonight

How is that new for him? Lol
Lol I guess he's being hit in the face in a new way because people are sure something was off, but I honestly have no idea how they can tell

How do we know Jiri looked terrible and wasn't just trying a new technique that involves getting hit in the face a lot?
That’s not a new technique , i think Jiri has just gotten better at getting punched in the face.

He got hit a ton. Jiri in general has terrible defense & will always run the risk of getting ktfo. He didn't look good at all & only got the ko because Rountree was gassed. Ulberg & especially Pereira finishes Jiri within two rounds.
He got hit as always, but I don't think he got hit more than Reyes. He fought with injuries leg. He lost two rounds, but still has his moments and was on the fight. Roundtre was gassed też and he never was cardio machine. He has short explosive moments that he can't sustain in high paced fights and Jiri broke him. I don't see Jiri beating Pereira, but Ulberg? Ulberg isn't really a ko artist? KO Reyes on 2025? Nah. He imo didn't even beat Jan.

Jiri did not break Rountree lol. Rountree got tired & stood right in front of Jiri like a punching bag. Any professional fighter can KO someone like that. Jiri's win was nothing specatacular nor was it impressive. Compared to other Jiri fights from the past, he did not look good at all.

As far as Ulberg being in the mix now, he is coming off a devastating KO win against a guy who was on a hot win streak, & against a guy who arguably beat one of the best to ever do it in Jon Jones. Reyes is a pretty serious win & it's not a lucky win where he happened to land a punch on an exhausted guy who was winning the entire fight up until getting dropped. They say you're only as good as your last win, & Ulberg's last win was impressive. Jiri's last win was luck.

Luck? Prochazka has great cardio and put on the pace. Khalil can't go 3 rounds in pace like Jiri. Roundtree fights usually with those short, powerful moments because he can't go like that for 15-25 minutes. Hill fought his fights and Roundtree was very economic with his approach. Roundtree was swinging bombs, because he was overwhelmed and has had enough. Jiri has the similar idzie as DDP, RDR. His leg was clearly injuried.

Reyes was never back, he faces lesser competition. Krylov and Jakoby both rushed on him like idiots and washed Smith? Ulberg's win over Reyes wasn't that impressive, because Reyes wasn't back, he wasn't 2.0.

Rountree had that fight won until he gassed.

He was jumping a lot. Jiri takes lots of shots in his fights, won’t be surprised if he has brain damage after fighting career

You have no idea what your talkin about.

Jiri still was constantly pressuring, even if he didnt throw that much. He kept staying close to Khalil. Khalil was waitng for Jiri to throw so he could counter, but he was just too tight, too tense, that expended alot of energy just to keep Jiri off of him.

Similar to the Poatan fight. But I guess youll tell us that wasnt impressive either.

I picked Rountree to win this fight. I noticed he wasn’t throwing leg kicks to Jiri’s legs too much. I was calling for Rountree to throw that left high kick to Jiri’s head, Jiri keeps his hands lower than he should

Yeah, cos Jiri leans heavy on the front leg and sticks his head out to bait an attack and then pulls his head back.

So that stance leaves him susceptible to leg kicks

He physically looked like shit, no denying that. Khalil had a speed advantage rendering Jiri's offense impotent in first 2 rounds. It was when Khalil tired and the fight was finally on Jiri's pace, he locked in immediately and started sniping the fuck out of Rountree. Credit to Jiri's toughness and poise to take damage until Khalil lost his wind, he is supremely battle tested in this regard. He seized the moment expertly which really stands out in a sea of fighters who more and more have no clue what the fuck urgency is when they are clearly a round away from guaranteed loss.

Being that Rountree has that background in Muay Thai, he should chopped that leg but oh well, it is what it is.

Dude was on some Benjamin button shit, came out a KO'd loser and reversed back in time to become fresh and a winner.. Watch the fight backwards and it appears like a normal fight lol.

After the entire fight I think jiri was just playing mma chess on another level. Khalil was a better technical guy with more power so jiri came out looking like a goof slipping on bananas and holding his head out daring Khalil to throw power shots and land but he missed enough that he also got tired. Then jiri sprang the trap and went in to kill while Khalil didn't have the gas to get away.

Jiri ate so many punches with his face that Rountree got tired…not too impressive.
i thought i saw that in r3's face , he really looked like wtf cmon man , i aint got time for this s* anymore , just KO me Jiri

Idk

It seems to he kind of flows with his opponents and somewhat absorbs damage with his agility
This. Jiri did a pretty good job of getting hit not that hard despite Khalil throwing everything with intent to kill. That said, spotting your opponent two rounds in a three round fight is a dicey strategy even if you think he's likely to gas out in the third. Jiri made it work and made it look pretty easy, but if Khalil came at him 85% instead of 95%-100% in the first two rounds then that strategy might not have fared so well.
