there are no more checks and balances. he don't give a fuck.
He didn't apologize and showed crocodile tears claiming he loves people on both sides.
You've got to consider the source, brudduh.i feel dirty for watching that guys channel for more than 5 seconds now. please put a trigger warning next time.
The fact he doesn't name the person from ABC telling him that Jimmy was a goner means there was no such phone call, he always loves to name everyone in his 3am incoherent sobbing flimsy rants.Interesting that he specifically highlights this as a personally lucrative opportunity
And by interesting I mean naked corruption
Post the exact quote. The fcc chair threatened to pull the license of a company if they didn’t address a specific individual on something they’d have zero basis to taking any action.
You continuing to pretend there was any legitimacy to the threat is laughable. Embarrassing.
Covid is so 2020, this is a far cry from that, this is one guy, we had millions censored en massKimmel sucks but this weaponization of the government to remove criticism is scary. Things are going in a bad direction.
this cast of fuckups? We're going downhill fast but these guys won't be running what's left over.I tried to tell you folks the administration has been staging a coup.
Maybe you'll finally wake up when you're in jail for not being orange enough or some shit.
Sad bunch of yanks.
I don't get why these assholes with multimillions are worried about a paycheck. Sure, they have people that depend on them but I never take the "i have people relying on me" line seriously.Just watched the first three minutes of his monologue. Do I believe his tears? Half and half. Why? Because I think it’s a mix of the emotion he felt because he was afraid of being cancelled full-time and, at the same time, the fact that he really does not want somebody to be killed. That doesn’t necessarily mean he’s crying about Kirk per se, but more about the idea of a young father being executed.
I’m glad he also reflected—only in one sentence, but hey, still—that he had pointed the finger at others in the past (Roseanne and Tucker) and that it came back at him the same way.
So, I’m glad he’s back. Although, as I said in my first post in this thread, I don’t think he’s uber funny or anything. But yeah—people (no matter which side they’re on) should be allowed to say what they want without the government, or even shitstorms from any side, being able to cancel them. No matter if it’s about somebody who got shot, somebody illegal, or somebody who does in fact look like a character from Planet of the Apes. Period.
They should not have done that. It was the wrong thing to do.Let's fire Carr... also, while we are at it... How about we dump the FCC altogether?
Where was your outrage when the Democrats silenced Americans on Facebook, Twitter, Google, YouTube, and Yahoo?
Re: the bold, if you're talking about the comment that sparked this shitshow, no. That is false. It doesn't stop people from repeating that lie over and over though, sadly.I don't get why these assholes with multimillions are worried about a paycheck. Sure, they have people that depend on them but I never take the "i have people relying on me" line seriously.
From what I saw of his statement he was plain wrong wasn't he? didn't he say the killer was one of "them" the guy looks to be some sort of trans defender. Overall, I don't get what a late night host has to say of relevance about serious, tragic shit like that, like I keep saying, people can't shut their mouths.
At any rate, he's not the only talk show host to get canned, anyone remember Bill Maher getting canned for running off at the mouth about iraqis' or whoever? He lost his show on network tv but he picked up another so he was ok.
