This is all moot, as I said from the beginning. Disney is bringing Kimmel back, and said in their statement why they suspended him (and it had nothing to do with the FCC). Sinclair STILL refuses to air him in their local affiliate markets, and this too has nothing to do with the FCC.

the fcc chair clearly overstepped his authority. They have zero ability to step in in a situation like this under the law. None.

You think it’s their responsibility to pull licenses for a single sentence of protected speech from a “comedian” that violates no terms of their license because of your wittle feewings. I disagree that it makes it easy unless you want to interpret it otherwise due to personal bias, but you're entitled to your opinion, of course. That's all it is though, an opinion. It doesn't justify calling Kimmel's comment a lie, does it?

Yet, as I said earlier, at least 2 mods and a bunch of other users said he was lying and have repeated that bullshit over and over ever since it happened (despite me and several other users pointing this out to them). I'm curious to know what you think about that.

When I first heard the sound bite I saw it the way they did, but reading the quote in print you can see he chose his words carefully and was not actually lying.
