I agree about Booker’s. It’s fairly rare in my area, and usually is marked up anywhere from $120-$150, and that’s a lot to spend—especially when I can get a 120 proof Knob Creek Single Barrel any day of the week for $55, and can also get the Elijah Craig Barrel Proof and Larceny Barrel Proof batches consistently in my area. I’ll still pick up a Booker’s if I know that batch has gotten good reviews and I can buy it near MSRP, but I don’t go hunting for it.Yeah it's usually between $35-$40 at most of the stores I go to around here in Knoxville TN. Fortunately my new job is just a couple of miles from Total Wine & Spirits and they usually have great prices...I guess just due to the fact that they're so large. They have Knob Creek for just over $30, which is good because it's probably my favorite Beam bourbon after Booker's. The issue with Booker's though is that it's expensive when you consider that you never really know exactly what you're getting, unless you've already tried that batch. Some years are absolutely phenomenal but occasionally you'll find one that leaves a lot to be desired.
Also, I definitely have to recommend that everyone here pickup a bottle of this Johnnie Walker High Rye as soon as possible. I stumbled across it a week or two ago on sale for half price. Rye whiskey isn't my go-to but I don't hate it like a lot of people. This is definitely NOT a rye whiskey though. There's hints of rye but it's much more subtle than I anticipated. After spending some quality time with it, I believe this is my new favorite Johnnie Walker. I like it more than Blue and Gold Label. At the moment, if I had a gun to my head, I dare say I'd even pick it over Green Label. It still tastes like a Johnnie Walker but it stands out from the rest of their lineup more so than any of their other offerings in my opinion.

I’ll keep that JW in mind, although truth be told I don’t drink much scotch. It’s primarily bourbon, rye, and Irish for me.
