Economy Jim Beam Kentucky based distillery closing down for a year.

No but we have ballrooms and battleships. You tired of winning yet.
You realize,

None of these have been built yet, right?

One is just sitting there destroyed, and the other are drawings..

That is why I walked around with a pillow and blanket because I am so tired of winning.

but then you would not have a pillow
If my fellow countryman needs a pillow I will not hesitate to give what is mine, to any side of the isle..

Whatever's going on with the forum layout feels Jim Beam related.

So what you have are vandalism and promises of Balrooms and Battleships? That does not make it much better

grrrr orange man bad who cares !!!

The pause stems from a combination of factors:Record oversupply: Kentucky has over 16 million aging bourbon barrels (triple the amount from 15 years ago), leading to high inventory taxes ($75 million industry-wide in 2025) and storage costs.

Declining demand: Overall U.S. spirits exports down 9% in Q2 2025; Americans are drinking less alcohol overall (trends show lower consumption, especially among younger people, and shifts away from discretionary spending).

That said, tariffs aren't the only or even primary factor in every report—oversupply from boom-era expansion and domestic drinking trends are consistently mentioned as major contributors. Some coverage (e.g., Business Insider) focuses more on general market slowdown without heavily emphasizing Trump
These are the same dorks who root for north korea and ms13 whenever their "team" isn’t in charge.

Canada was less than 1% of bourbon sales to begin with, but for some reason it makes them feel better to pretend it's decreased Canada sales that has shot Jim Beam into bankruptcy, and not that they're taking a year off at one distillery because they're sitting on 5 years worth of barrels, and are reassigning those employees to bottling and warehousing.

Nobody got laid off, and the parent company isn't even American. Not exactly the crisis they were hoping for.

Aw, look at you desperate for attention with another fake quote after your first one flopped. Stick with it and you'll get better eventually.

From the article
Overall exports of American spirits fell 9% in the second quarter of 2025 compared to a year ago, according to the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States.

The most dramatic decrease came in U.S. spirits exports to Canada, which fell 85% in the April-through-June quarter

I would have no idea why there is a decrease in exports of American Spirits. I feel bad for all those workers losing their jobs right before Christmas.

Im sure Canada is a factor, but whiskey sales are down in the US as well.
