I just saw this on youtube. i didn't know that he still fights, that's pretty sad to see. I he broke or something?
It's been back since ~2014 or so. Tons of great fights you've missed out on man. Although I do prefer RISE over K-1 tbhK1 still exists?!?!?!
K-1 is the third promotion now, after Big 2. Somewhat. Not a solid 3rd maybe everytime. The last time it tried to become "golden" again was in 2011 or 2012, when it promoted with It's Showtime from the Netherlands and then with Superkombat from Romania.K1 still exists?!?!?!
To me this doesn't count as K1. The Wgp that Mirko won alrrady was a fake product to me.I like to think he just still loves fighting, I hope he's doing alright financially. Still hard to see him fighting at this age.

Last year's K-1 world max was pretty good. A solid world class tournament. The openwieght grand prix was ok... Definitely could have been better and should have had an international broadcast. To me this doesn't count as K1. The Wgp that Mirko won alrrady was a fake product to me.
Real K1 was the global kickboxing elite fighting for the championship.
Glory is the new K1. It just isn't even 1/3 as good as real K1 was. The production and events.
A young Lebanner in bare knuckle boxing would have been a very scary opponent and he could have had great success there. F*ck getting punched in the face by Lebannner bare knuckle.I see that he is attending a BKFC event. I hope he doesn't compete in that bullshit.
I think he is probably fine but is having issues transitioning out of the sport. His whole identity is kickboxing.
Le Banner is quite an intense guy. Big heart, big mouth, no filter, and act-first-think-later kind of guy. He always finds himself in crazy situations and let's say he is not the type to de-escalate crazy situations.I see that he is attending a BKFC event. I hope he doesn't compete in that bullshit.

My favourite with Daniel Ghita.JLB was my all-time favourite so I won't watch that video. I prefer to remember him at his best:

Boxing purists look at me funny when I rank his punching power up there with the all-time heavy hitters like Foreman, Wilder, Shavers, Liston, etc, but watch his fights pre-Hoost shattering his arm and tell me it doesn't compare. My favourite with Daniel Ghita.
I idolised JLB
He was definitely a monster puncher, enough so that Don King wanted him in his heavyweight stable. I don't think I would place him with the powerhouses you mentioned, but he definitely had punching power that was comparable to the top heavyweight boxers of his day.Boxing purists look at me funny when I rank his punching power up there with the all-time heavy hitters like Foreman, Wilder, Shavers, Liston, etc, but watch his fights pre-Hoost shattering his arm and tell me it doesn't compare.
Mix that power with the aggression and shaky chin and someone was gettin' sparked the hell out when he stepped in the ring!
If he could hit as hard as Wilder he would have been a boxing champion.Boxing purists look at me funny when I rank his punching power up there with the all-time heavy hitters like Foreman, Wilder, Shavers, Liston, etc, but watch his fights pre-Hoost shattering his arm and tell me it doesn't compare.
