If he could hit as hard as Wilder he would have been a boxing champion.
Nah, he wasn't as good a boxer nor was he as durable as Wilder nor did he have any real defensive skills to speak of so K1 was where he belonged. The guy had insane power on par with any fighter I've ever seen.

Wilder is a horrible example who got exposed quite fast as soon as he had his first high level opponent. But I agree with your asessment of LeBanner. He wouldnt have even made top50. K1 is too specific to make that transition successful we have seen that a lot. The best K1 fighters all had a style that would not transfer at all into boxing but guaranteed succeess in K1. Its just two very different sports.

Its sad watching him now. I saw him several years ago were he contemplated retirement and if you heard him it was time. This wont end well for his health but he really is a true warrior to the core. Its a generation of fighters we wont get again.
