News Jean Silva opens as big betting favorite over Bryce Mitchell

You have a problem of delusion and denial and need things fed to you through sentence by sentence breakdowns. My only regret is that I can't express things to you through crayon.

Again, there's no "mistake." He revealed that he is in fact anti semitic and homophobic, and I'm gonna call him a piece of shit for it. And you keep defending it because you are really stupid and/or a piece of shit yourself.

It's definitely in the top 2 most likely outcomes.

I personally think a grappling-heavy Bryce Decision is the most likely.

The two times Bryce got a step up in competition he got murdered.

IMO Silva is elite. This will go a long way in proving that theory, but that is what I see from watching his fights.

Looking forward to this one, Mitchell is surely a live dog here no doubt.

Yeah, man, ideal fight TBH, and a smart call out for Jean Silva.

I don't think Silva is likely to do what Emmett did, so he'll have to kinda replicate what Topuria did to him. If guys like Ige and Barboza can't do it, I have some doubts about Silva doing it.

That's mainly just because this is a pretty big step up for Jean. Jourdain and Dober are both darlings of the MMA community, but neither are as good as Bryce is IMO.

Can't wait!

I love Ige but he's a .500 journeyman at the end of his career, and Bryce still had some trouble getting that decision done.

Barboza, too, while excellent at his chosen art isn't what you'd call "prime" Edson.

Ige is interesting though because on paper he does look well-equipped to beat someone like Bryce, IMO.

Keep in mind Silva is an absolute murderer with big power. 15 career wins, 12 of them are KOs.

In his 4 UFC appearances, he T/KO'd all four dudes. Even at 155lbs he mutilated Drew Dober's face.

Mitchell got badly hurt and put away from strikes in 2 of his last 4 fights. Granted Ilia is the best and can do that to anyone, but that is simply not the case with Josh Emmett.

Silva by KO is the most likely outcome of this outing.

Gunna keep it strictly about the fight itself to keep my personal bias out of it, but Ilia and Emmet are very hard hitters that could put anybody out with their power when the land clean. I view this as the usual dangerous Brazilian KO artist VS strong American wrestler/grappler matchup, and from what I remember from most these matchups the wrestler typically wins with strong grappling, though when they lose it's brutal and spectacular.

I don't think Bryce's chin is broken yet, and if he does get tagged the takedown will likely be there, and so is some lay n pray maybe even the late sub if he tires Jean out enough. I honestly think Bryce by 29-28 UD is the most realistic outcome, again I don't really understand these odds but they must know something I don't because I'm betting this likely happens.

I think this is a very reasonable fight for both guys, personally. Mitchell got a softball lobbed to him in Kron his last time out. He needs to play gatekeeper against someone who actually has momentum.

Meanwhile Silva's best P4P win is probably Dober, but that was a weight class up. I don't really rate Melsik and Jourdain is talented albeit super inconsistent. I think Bryce is a great introduction to the Top 15. He's been around a while, is still young, has good names on his resume, and brings a style that Silva hasn't been forced to contend with as of yet and will potentially face more of in the future (Aljo, Evloev, Sabatini, Mariscal, Dulgarian).

Jean looks like the real deal and I'm watching him excitedly, but he also has that kind of style who looks like he could get embarrassingly derailed at any moment though I hope not.
Yeah maybe I'm just dying for fighters that put on fireworks lately, but I'm fully on the Jean Silva train right now. Doesn't hurt that the whole fighting nerds camp right now is on fire. You're right that he could get caught one day and fight cautiously and never look the same, but hey I hope the guy KO's people 3x a year and goes undefeated until he's 40. Really impressed at him stopping Dober a weight class up.

Bryce is too unstable mentally and appeared to lack a lot of wisdom in his recent public appearances. Silva will destroy him, he is clearly here the sharpest sword.

Boom. Headshot.

Stop trying to project what you maybe think that I am. We will know Saturday he may be in for a beating for what he said or he might win decisively. Have fun. Take like easily.
No projections. I've said exactly what you're doing. And you're acting like you have the high road because you're not offended. The saint who absolves bigots, while simultaneously wrongly defending their takes.

Whether or not a piece of shit person wins on Saturday, there's one thing I can guarantee, a piece of shit will still be on this forum, despite getting everyone's hopes up that he'd leave

Bryce already showed his limits, but I also doubt that Jean is elite. How can one be elite pushing 30 with such a thin record.
