This match really showed who was the better fighter. JDS basically turned Miocic into a panic wrestler. As soon as Stipe was getting lit up on the feet he resorted to groveling on his hands and knees for pathetic attempts at take downs. JDS stuffed Stipe take down attempts like they were nothing which is awesome since supposedly Stipe is a high level wrestler but failed miserably in trying to take JDS down but Stipe ended up getting taken down by JDS and even had his back for some time.

This fight showed that JDS is quicker and lighter on the feet than Stipe that is for sure. Stipe looked like his feet were stuck in mud most of the time and had worse head movement than JDS and Cain (which is very hard to do by the way). Stipe stands flat footed most of the time and has terrible footwork for a supposedly high level "golden gloves" boxer. JDS showed better angles with his punches. Stipe gets hit a lot which he revealed in his fight against Struve and again with JDS. There leaves no doubt that JDS is a better boxer and is a better MMA striker than Stipe.

Stipe also tried kicking JDS in the nuts but it did not help him win the fight. When they fight again after Stipe loses his belt I think JDS beats him. JDS most likely finishes Stipe.

I kind of thought Miocic won the fight but JDS won the scorecards (based on damage)

Anyway, I think JDS could beat Overeem and Stipe on rematches, but you never know at HW. It was a great fight, but I wouldn't read too far into it

Fight was a lot closer than you're making it sound.

Lol at that retardedly one sided analysis

Miocic arguably won the fight

Miocic won, but the fight was only close because he gassed. Since then, it looks like Miocic cardio is much better, so I would go with him if they fight again.

That fight was a close back and forth war, I love JDS but I actually thought Stipe could have gotten the nod. You're being super biased towards JDS coming from a JDS fan

I'm a Dos Santos fan but not sure if he wins a rematch with Stipe, haven't seen much progression from him where as Stipe has been improving with each fight. Dos Santos is still very capable to be a champion, we'll find out.

I don't know why people keep saying Miocic won.

JDS outlanded him by almost 50 strikes. He knocked him down. He took him down. Had more gass by the end.

It was a war, but JDS clearly should have won the decision. And I was behind Stipe in that fight.

I am fan of both but JDS won that fight without question. I cannot understand how can people even question the decision. Fight itself was a true war and was competitive. That being said, in my eyes the only round Miocic definitely won was the 2nd. First round was pretty much even and the last 3 rds are for sure Juniors. They both had 1 TD, but JDS also landed a knockdown and was more active in the last minutes when Stipe should have pressed the action if he wanted to win.

I wouldn't be THAT confident but equally I think Stipe was pushing it more in terms of what his chin could take. JDS isn't generally the type to run into a punch like Werdum did and besides that I wouldn't say Stipe tends to throw with the extreme power Overeem did to put Jnr down. JDS on the other hand landed a few overhands that on another day could IMHO have finished Stipe.

Technically I think we saw that Jnr was the better boxer when he was fighting his game at range, faster more fluid hands but he did show his typical weakness when backed up. Stipe isn't that amazing in terms of head movement on defence either but I don't think he's the sitting duck Jnr often is.

This.

It was a close fight but JDS quite clearly won it.

You lost your credibility when you used the term "panic wrestler" like a fucking clown

I can't wait for the rematch. These two have trilogy written all over.

He looked slick vs Big Ben.

JDS is back and will be king again.
