JDS tested positive for hydrochlorothiazide.

Diuretics are banned mostly because they're used to hide the use of other shit. You piss more, forces kidneys to filter more.

not shocked at all by this.

Everyone in that camp deteriorated really fast after random testing got implemented...and Anderson popped.

Every grandma in the US is on this stuff, it's quite mild. What a lame thing to get USADA'd for.

I agree. My grandma is on this stuff as well :) You can buy it in my country for less than 2 bucks and it's being sold without a prescription. I pick it up all the time.

This shit won't help you with anything. LOL at people thinking this is some kind of PED. Cerrone tested positive for the same thing.

educate yourself on why various substances are banned, pleb.

I know why it's banned. But I worked in a hospital for 4 years. This is one of the most common medication given to old people for heart pressure. It's also not that effective.

The positive effects that someone like JDS could have gotten from this are minimal and are mainly for cutting weight. No way would could you mask steroid use from USADA by taking this shit.

USADA needs to go eventually.

Why doesn't the UFC just use the testing that the NFL and NBA use? Is not that testing easier to pass and allow the players to still be explosive.

lol at "worked in a hospital". mopping up shit and piss for 4 years makes you an expert now?
if it is mainly for cutting weight, why would someone who fights at 20 lbs below the weight limit need to cut weight, genius?

damn, looks like another row os astrixs against a fighters record.

Statement from JDS:
Don't worry, Brock Lesnar will get to the bottom of this (for us)!

year? one year? 2 year(s) many many years like barnett and rothwell?
mir was suspended 2 years and jones 1, and barnett wasn't mentioned yet (no time decreted)..and he tested positive almost 1 year ago <{1-10}><{1-10}>

One year for first offense for diuretic not Mir roid.

So why does he have it in his body then?

I was a medical lab technician. I mostly ran the same blood tests day in and day out. I can tell you for a fact that this along with Lisinopril are probably the most common blood pressure medication that old people are on. This is a very mild diuretic and in my experience it barely does anything for most people. I was pointing out that if anyone would use this they would use it to most likely try and cut more weight. Which I would guess was why Cerrone was using it. USADA does urine and blood test. This mild diuretic won't mask anything under stringent testing. My guess is that it was in a supplement he took. I don't see how this stuff would benefit a fighter like JDS, a HW who fights in the 240s.

Damn, that was a pretty decent looking main card too... Got a big hole in it now though as that was going to be one of the highlights. Still looks okay... but

Step on up in that spot Reem or Werdum... UFC 215 needz you!!!
