People are overlooking the fact that Izzy was nervous of Jans power.

I don't know if I agree with this either. Of course Israel had to respect the power. Everyone has power though.The thing is can you land?

Jan with his technique and strategy was able to. His strategy and technique to defend Izzy's leg attacks were important.

And then when Israel started to get loose and comfortable on the feet, Jan's strategy, technique, and timing to change levels were perfect.

Then finally Jan's technique on the ground didn't let Adesanya get back to his feet, even if there wasn't much action there.

So overall, I feel that the power wasn't nearly as big a factor in the contest as the strategy and technique. I mean Jan did land solid on Izzy but Israel was never rocked.

Everyone has power, but there's power, and then there's POWER. Before the fight the vajst majority said Jans only way of winning was through sheer power, a type of power Izzy never seen before because of his lack of experience vs bigger guys.

Izzy felt that power in the fight, and along with Jans technique, it was too much to think about. Mindfuck if you say. Jan was winning until "izzy felt comfortable". Yeah Izzy did get loose late, but it was still an uphill battle lol.

Israel also mentioned in the post fight presser that he had to be wary of Jans power at all costs. Imagine having to worry about getting KTFO by a tremendous puncher who also got the technique down?

Like, imagine Whittaker with Jans power? That's not even a fair fight. Or even Vettori.

Basically, KO power on the upper level is also used as leverage in the fight. Fighting a tremendous power puncher can gas you out more quickly, because tension. Hard to explain but i think you get it.

Lol yeah this is the consequence of media getting shunned by Dana and the fighters for doing their homework and ask the good questions. In other major sports the athletes are forced to talk to media, but in MMA the athlete can just say "fuck you, im not answering to your quesrions", which brings more realness to it, but also scares the good reporters away while attracting reporters like this guy.

It is what it is i guess.

Also, that pitful "thanks" at the end was the worst lol. Atleast go ahead and laugh with the other reporters. Now you just made it known it was a serious question and you are ashamed of the outcome.

They also say fvck you to media in other sports. Some ignore all questions and don't say anything at all or make a joke out of all the questions and just say random one word answers. Happens a lot in football and basketball. They do it because they are obligated to but a lot will do stuff like that because they hate the dumb questions they always ask them.
