Japanese team sports are only comparable to what happens in CHina imo regarding abuse: I played Rugby vs Japanese teams. They have exemplary discipline, motivation , dedication but the coaches are the worst assholes you could imagine.

It leads to training methods that are succesfull but not scientific at all and basically rely on training until you collapse day for day. Add to that no breaks with injuries and the majority of these athletes leave the sport close to be being physically destroyed at a young age sometimes not getting into a job because of it.

The abuse includes slapping, kicking, screaming,near everyxthing you can think of.

- Japanese stunt work is a sight to behold too. But the total disregard for human life. It's common to stunt doubles to die.
