far worse things than a public protest have happened in the US that you don't even know about, let alone are remembered for their date.

1/6 was the biggest attack on our Democracy. It's far worse than Nixon's abuse of power. The President schemed with hand picked Adadministration officials, State legislatures, civilian militias, and even a SCOTUS spouse to overturn the election despite there being no evidence of fraud after multiple audits.

And it's laughable to call the attack on the Capitol a public protest. Most of the people there were lemmings but they were there because of Trump's rally and under his direction. Maybe they were mostly peaceful but there were still groups there that showed up with treasonous intent and were willing and even eager to commit violence. Meanwhile fraudulent Electors were sent from Trump friendly States and around 150 Congressmen voted to overturn the election hoping to use a loophole to overturn the will of the people.

Like I said, WAY worse things have happened on US soil that you don't even know about and don't know the date. So the date something happened is hardly an indicator of the significance.

That the date is synonymous with the event indicates its significance. And sure, it was mostly peaceful, except for the treasonous cunts that showed up ready to attack the police and breach the Capitol.

Jan 6th was a disgrace but in no way was it a holocaust, nor was it a fucking 9/11, and it is a fucking insult to all those who suffered from both.

Yeah, no shit, I never made those comparisons nor have I endorsed them. 1/6 wasn't a direct attack on the population, it was a direct attack on our Democracy, and it stands as the most treasonous act perpetrated by a President in our history.
