I think Nathan Fillion's Guy Gardner will be one of the best things about this movie especially if they adapt the obnoxious, abrasive personality from his earlier years in comics.

Black Adam movie adds Hawkman, Atom Smasher, Cyclone and Doctor Fate.
Superman: Legacy adds Hawkgirl, Mister Terrific and a Green Lantern.

It just feels like a similar move. I hope Legacy doesn't use these characters just as a punching bag for Superman.

I take it more to mean that he is moving completely away from origin stories for anyone. That the rebooted universe will start in media res, with all the superheroes already being a thing.

Nathan Fillion was the Detachable Kid in The Suicide Squad, and was in Guardians of the Galaxy.

Wonder if this will be an intro for Superman, where Earth's Heroes are already established but then Superman finishing up learning from Jor El in the fortress of solitude introduces himself to the Earth by saving a version of this super team . It's straightforward plus the members would be weary of him because does a massive show of strength to save them and they don't know for sure if he can be trusted.

It's always a mess when there's too many heroes IMO. The comic book movies that work are the ones where it just focuses on one character.

James Gunn is very open and unapologetic about the fact that he will cast his friends and family in every project of his that he can get away with.
