Media Jamahal Hill address his "yawning"

I’ve never seen a motherfucker who got beat so easily and quick , talk so much delusional mad shit. I swear god , this gen can say whatever they want about reality and if you say it confidently enough , some dunbasses will believe you . Hence our current political situation . And I’ll expect someone to jump on this comment and claim he got koed cause Alex cheated after Hills illegal blow . Sigh . Hills like that Monty Python movie where the knight loses all his limbs but is still talking shit and saying he’s alright and wants to still fight. STFU Hill.

Why are you making it some weird generational thing as if people like Hill never existed before. What does "this gen" even mean, not everyone is from the same generation.

Because no other generation in history has had world wide internet and social media where you can voice your every desire , thought , grievance , etc to the whole world in an instant . To act like that has had o affect as whole on people who grew up with this tech ( as opposed to me , who’s in his fifties and didn’t grow up with social media or internet ) is being disingenuous bud. Yes we’ve got same hardwiring as our ancestors 200,000 years ago but they didn’t grow up in this social experiment called social media

I was picking Khalil to beat the shit out of Hill before when they were linked together and the only part that sucks is the odds will be flipped after Khalil's fight with Poatan. I'm a Poatan fan, have been calling him as a champion since he was signed and I gave Khalil the first round at least, the second being close enough that you could give it to either or call it a drawn round, with the biggest moments being Alex reopening the cut on Khalil's nose and Khalil catching Alex with a counter right hand after Alex threw a question mark kick and slipped with the crowd pop probably affecting the judges (1:25 left in the round).

Rountree is the better striker and after their next few fights, I guarantee you his and Hill's rankings swap places.

Jamhal Hill has a straight left and nothing else. No kicking game, no knees nor elbows, guy is a one dimensional boxer with the flattest footwork ever seen at "top 5" levels.

Jamhal's career has been carefully handled by the UFC (smart) to build up their DWCS guys as more legitimate and capable of reaching championship status, but he's shown that he was a lucky transitional champion whose run was taking 20 minutes to finish a shop worn Thiago Santos, finishing a glass chinned Walker, and Jimmy fucking Crute before he couldn't even finish 70 year old Glover as a "dangerous KO artiste".

I think he loses to everyone around him in the rankings. Ankalaev wrecks him. He loses to Jiri. Jan is smarter and has a block head. Rakic probably LNPs him, but we'll see where he's actually at after his fight with Ankalaev and whether the Jiri fight was him being rusty after a terrible knee injury.
I'd pick Hill over Oezdemir, Krylov, Walker. Ulberg is another currently unknown, if he blasts through Oezdemir I wouldn't be surprised if he could get passed Hill. Just my $0.02

OK
If I remember right, Hill had some good kicks vs Glover.
I do agre that he is one dimensional.
But his boxing is very good.
Look at Strickland's striking. Kind of the same. No kicks, no knees. He has that front kick, but it's not much.
But very good boxing.

Hopefully, we will see Hill vs Rountree. I'm still betting on Hill, but I see your point.
I think Ank wrecks them both easily, because both Hill and Rountree have shitty ground game.

Edit: he has flat footwork. I do agree. And his movement is weird. But what LHW has good footwork?
Even Pereira has flat footwork.
This is not something bad in MMA.
You have guys like Wboy or Page who rely a lot of moving and jumping, but, for most big guys, having flat footwork in MMA is not that much of a problem.
Gane is an exception, for example.

IMO, Strickland's striking and footwork is leaps and bounds ahead of Hill. He has the best striking defense stats at MW, his footwork is much better than Hills. Hill has terrible footwork. He looks like he's fighting in wet flip flops. Here's an article from a guy that doesn't like Strickland but he analyzes why his use of really basic technique and footwork wins him fights.

I don't think Hill would have the capability to dogwalk Izzy like Strickland did.
He became a champion due to being in the right place at the right time to fight Glover after Jan and Ank drew. He beat old man Glover at 43 years old, unable to finish him quickly and mercifully, instead inflicting a sustained 25 minute beating on him in front if his home town crowd, leading to Glover retiring in a silent, mostly empty arena. I still haven't forgiven you Rio. He deserved better damn it! Beforehand, he knocked out Walker who might go down as a record glass chin and took 20 minutes to finish no-knee mid-skid gassed Thiago Santos.

The first time he had to face truly elite,  prime competition...well...we all know what happened...

Thanks, good article.
To be clear, I was talking about having flat footwork vs staying on the ball of the foot.
I do agree that Hill's competition was pretty weak.
On the other hand, he lasn't lost to guys like Cutelaba, Marcin Prachnio or Walker, like Rountree.
Rountree also lost to Jacoby, imo, it was a robbery.
He is fast and explosive, but a technical striker can beat him. And Hill is technical... well, at least with his hands. <lol>
His footwork is lousy, I agree.

To be clear, his boxing is very good = his boxing is good in today's LHW division.
It's efficient. He could beat most ranked LHWs on the feet.
Except Alex, who is very, very good.
Jan is semi-retired.
Not sure about Rakic and Jiri, but Jiri, with his weird fighting style, might lose.

PS: I am not a fan of him, the way he handled the Alex loss was stupid.

Okay, that sounds more reasonablr lol

So who is Hill fighting next to back up his boasting? A good win can get him close to contention.

So far, 3 people here believe Rountree would beat Hill

Just curios, why?
Just because he had that KD vs Alex?
Or because he looked explosive, but in reality didn't do much?
Or because you actually believe those who said Rountree won 2 rounds?

Hill is just a better striker than Rountree.
I agree that he is too arrogant and Alex would KO him again.
But he is in the top 5 at LHW
Rountree is not there
You're a ranking monkey.

Think for yourself
