Social Jalen hurts and the eagles reportedly say no to a white house visit after their Superbowl win

“We represent a city and a state that is pushing for equal rights, respect, and values that respect every human being.”

Kinda already blew that nonsense didn't they?

Clearly whatever values they actually represent don't include respect for the President of the United States and the majority of the people in this country that just reelected him to that office or even the office itself.
Lmao they know they play in Philly right ?

Free country . They don't have to go unless it's in their contract. Tim Thomas caught a ton of grief for not going to the Obama Whitehouse. Not the 1st or last time people will not go.

Phili is the most racist city lol..

But whatever, what a way to unite the country. What a bunch of losers, you should go to the white house either way, around half of their fans that vote, voted for Trump. I don't think it matters who the president is..
Now do all athletes and teams who have declined visits to the White House. Obama has probably had the most declines. Gee. I wonder why.

Ya go find me professional teams that have declined
obamas White House invites, I will wait … you’re talking out of your ass.

Does anyone care about this? No... If you pretend to care, ask yourself why...

Hmmm, I’ll wait and see before I call Jalen Hurts a little bitch ass pie throwing glorified running back who won’t be starting in the NFL by age 30 despite a Super Bowl.

EssentiallySports is a click farm website and they seem to be making a shitload of deductions based on what they want. Maybe to help build up media pressure to get them to refuse.

Neither the Eagles or Hurts have refused a White House invite and it was usually only the NBA..specifically the Golden State Social Justice Warriors that were bitches about visiting the White House.

Teams from all the other leagues accepted the gracious offer to be honored by THEIR President back then and his popularity is far higher now.

As evident by his ovation at the Super Bowl and his sweeping mandate.

Individual athletes declined to visit Obama. Which is worse than a team making that decision imo.

The official decision on how to handle it as a team should come from the coach and the franchise owner. The individual team members should have the option to go or not go as they may wish.

I don't blame them for not wanting to be used as a photo op.

BTW - We should stop playing the national anthem before games, it really has no place in sports other than the Olympics. I mean, what the reason for doing this?

Superbowl is an important time for a president-- usually involves an address from Potus and when Joe-mentia declined last year it was a big reason why media was saying his people were keeping him away from public speaking. Now we know that was true and they probably should have gotten some one to run against Trump sooner. Guess you could say dems fumbled at last years superbowl

Sports players shouldn't have to go and see a politician if they don't want to. It's a bit of a weird tradition anyway.

I hope this is satire.

Has he actually invited them? I'd be surprised if he does. So, imo, this rejection of an invitation that hasn't been offered is premature and probably meant to control the narrative.

However, according to a White House source who spoke with Outkick founder Clay Travis, the Eagles have not rejected a trip to Washington - with the White House reportedly yet to even send an official invite yet.

While the Eagles' last scheduled visit to the White House was technically canceled by the Trump administration, the move came after Philadelphia were hesitant to visit the President, who had criticized players protesting during the national anthem.

At a 2017 rally, Trump said that the protests were 'hurting the game,' and said NFL owners should fire players who did so.
